Taehyung
"Wish me luck?" Jungkook had whispered to me as he, Yugyeom, Jimin and I stepped outside.
He and Yugyeom had dressed as if they were coming along to school, but instead of their homework, they had a change of clothes in their backpacks.
They were off to go audition for SM. And while I was excited for Jungkook, it also made me nervous. When he was accepted, would he drift away? Would he no longer want me in favor of another idol?
"I would but you don't need it." I say easily.
Jungkook smiled at me and kissed me, a light peck on the lips, but it was still the first time we'd ever kissed infront of anyone.
"I'll call you afterwards, ok?" Jungkook says as he and Yugyeom had begun to walk down the driveway.
"Ok." I had said.

"Do you think everything's going ok? I should've told him to at least call me when they arrived, just to make sure they arrived ok." I say, checking my phone for the fifteen time during our lunch break.
"I'm sure they're fine Tae; just relax. You know these things take time." Jimin says as he pulls lunch out of the oven.
"I still can't believe Jungkook actually went behind Hyung's back like this. Its not something you would expect him to do." I say.
"Let's hope they both get accepted, otherwise they'll feel Hyung's wrath for nothing." Jimin replies.
"There's no doubt Jungkook will be accepted." I say confidently.
"Have you ever heard Jungkook sing before?" Jimin asks curiously.
"A couple times; but it wasn't mostly when he wasn't really thinking about it. If you ask him to sing for you, he won't do it." I say.
"He's going to have to do it now. He'll be an idol, after all." Jimin offers me a plate but I decline. I'm to nervous to eat.
"Can I just say, I'm sorry for undermining your relationship. I was just concerned about Jungkook getting hurt but I can see now there's no reason to worry. You two really love eachother." Jimin says after a moment.
"Of course we do." I say easily.
"Well, whenever you decide to to tell Seokjin hyung, I have your back." Jimin says.
"Thanks." I say softly, glad that I have a friend like Jimin.
He smiles. "Hey, what are friends for?"

Jungkook
"I'm nervous." I say, turning to Yugyeom as we wait in line to enter the audition. We've been here for almost three and a half hours, just waiting for the chance to wait in line for the audition room.
"Don't be. We spent all night practicing; we'll be fine." Yugyeom says easily, even though he looks nervous too.
"What happens if we don't get accepted?" I ask, hoping  I don't look as scared as i feel.
This is what I want, more than anything. But I had to go behind Seokjin hyung's back to do it and that's not sitting well with me.
I wonder if the school has already contacted him to tell him Yugyeom and I did not show up to school today. I wonder if he feels betrayed by me for ignoring his wishes. I wonder if he's not focusing on his work, worrying over whether Yugyeom and I are ok.
"if we don't make it," Yugyeom says, bringing my attention back to him. "We move on to the next company; there are plenty to choose from."
I nod along but deep down, I know I have to try my hardest to be accepted. The only way to make it up to Seokjin hyung is to be accepted into the top company.
Everyone's attention snaps towards the set of double doors as they open and the lady that has been calling us into the audition room steps out.
"Ok, I need two rows of fifteen to file into the room, one behind the other." She says easily.
As people begin to file into the room, I start counting to see if Yugyeom and I will be together. But my heart sinks as I realize I'm the cut off for the first fifteen. I turn to Yugyeom but one look at his face tells me he already knew we would be separated.
"Relax; we'll still be in the same room. Fighting!" He says, as the person infront of me begins to walk.
We file into the room and stand infront of the judge, who was preoccupied with a bag of chips. Water bottles littered the table and I'm suddenly aware of how dry my throat is. I wish I had thought to get a drink of water at the fountain before this.
The judge sets the bag down and looks to the cameraman before turning to us.
"Good afternoon everyone. SM Entertainment thanks you for taking the time out of your day to audition for the company. We're always looking for new trainees, and I hope some of you prove worthy to take on that title. If you don't make it in today, just remember that we hold auditions year round, so work hard to improve and hopefully we'll see you again," the judge takes a moment to translate what he said to Chinese and English before continuing. "This will be a simple audition. I want you all to step forward and state your name. From there, you will to a dance to a random song with your line, and then individually you will sing the song you prepared for the audition. This audition is split into two parts; once you're finished with me, you'll move on to the second part. Everyone understand?"
He translates again and everyone nods.
"Ok, go ahead and start." He nods to the first person in my line and he immediately steps forward, announcing his name loud and clearly. They contiune on, some sounding confident and others terrified, until it reaches me.
I step forward and clear my throat.
"Um, Jeon Jungkook."
I soon as I step back, the judge motions to the lady to start the music. A Justin Bieber song begins to play through the speakers but I'm so nervous, I can't think of the name to the song. We all spread out slightly to give eachother room and all start dancing. The cameraman films each of us in turn; it makes me feel self conscious when he moves to film me.
Before I know it, it's over and we've moved on to the singing portion. Yugyeom and I had looked up the list of acceptable songs and the only one I knew well enough to sing today was 'If You' by Big Bang.
They only had us singing a verse and the chorus from the song but it still seemed to take an eternity before it finally got to me.
I was still extremely nervous, but I was more confident in my singing abilities than my dancing ones, so I close my eyes, inhale deeply and begin to sing. I let myself get lost in the music and sing past the chorus but no one stops me. I sing to the end of the song, absent-mindedly letting the little variations I normally put into the song slip from my mouth, and when I open my eyes everyone is staring at me. Even the cameraman had looked away from the little glass screen, though he still kept the camera trained on me.
The judge clears his throat after a moment, bringing the attention back to him.
"Ok. Good job, everyone. Remember, if you don't make it, there will be plenty of auditions in the future. With that in mind, as i call your numbers, you will go into the assigned doors just outside of this room. Only go to the door I assign you. Numbers 1, 3, 4, 6, 8, 9, 11, 13 and 14 go to room one; numbers 2, 5, 7, 10, and 12 go to room two; and number 15," I look up as my number is called. "You will go to room three."
I heart sinks as the others look at me. After all, room one had the best dancers and singers in it, while the people in room two were good, but could use some improvement. I was the only one singled out which meant I didn't make the cut. The judge hands his notes to three assistants, who lead us through the doors, walking into each room before we do.
"Just wait here for a minute." She says to me as she walks into the room with the notes the judge took on my performance.
I wonder if they'll let me take a picture of the notes, so that I can read them and improve where I lack.
I wish I could've stayed to watch Yugyeom audition. I had no doubt he would make it; he was an amazing dancer and he was pretty good at singing. I wonder if I should text him to meet me somewhere once his auditions done- I doubt they'd let me sit and wait for him. I pull out my phone, hesitating as i open up my text messages. I don't know if Yugyeom has his phone on silent and the last thing I want to do is get him disqualified.
Before I can decide what to do, the door opens and the assistant steps outside, smiling at me.
"Ok. You can go in now." She says, holding the door open for me as i stand and walk inside, slipping my phone into my pocket.
Two judges are waiting for me, along with six other guys who must've been cut like I was. They were all staring curiously at me, making me feel weird.
"Before I go, could I see the notes the other judge wrote on my performance? So I know where to improve?" I ask hesitantly.
The two judges look at eachother.
"Sure," the one on the right says, holding it out to me. "Though I only saw really saw good comments."
I take the paper as he holds it out, confused.

Strong vocals
Great stage presence
Good vocal control
Good dance skills but no emotion when dancing- recommend INTER. Dance 2

"But...if all his comments were good, why was I cut?" I ask, looking up at the judges. The one on the left smirks while the other smiles at me. Even the guys laugh quietly at me.
"Why do you think you've been cut?" The one on the right asks.
"Well, because I'm the only one that was singled out. It just makes sense." I say a bit defensively.
"It never crossed your mind that you could've been selected?" The one on the left asks.
"I..." But I can't find the right words. My heart begins to beat really fast. No, the thought had never crossed my mind. "Are you saying I've been put into a group?"
"Welcome to Golden7." The man says as the guys- or the members, I guess I should say, begin to cheer.
