The last thing you remember was getting sent flying across the room by a witch you were hunting and a sharp pain in the back of your head as it was flung back against the wall. You briefly remember Dean shouting but everything else was a blur. The sound of metal falling on the hard floor as your gun slipped out of your hand was still ringing in your head.

You could now feel the familiar silk sheets of your bed back at the bunker under your hands. Your head was pounding and everything hurt, you could barely move. Your eyes flicker open for a split-second, the bright light burning them. You decide to get some sleep in hopes that you would feel better in the morning. Just as you start to relax and drift off you hear the floorboards creak as someone enters the room. They hesitated for a minute before continuing carefully over to your bed. You felt the bed dip as they sat down next to you. They brush the hair out of your face and place a gentle kiss on your forehead.

You could smell cheap beer and whiskey on their breath. From that alone, you could tell it was Dean. You and Dean met on a hunt a month back. Dean had been impressed with your strength and aim with a gun when you helped him take out a pack of werewolves. You traveled together hunting for awhile until you finally admitted to Dean that you were three months pregnant and he made you come home to the bunker and since then you had been living with them. You were now four months pregnant.

"Oh god, I shouldn't of let you come on that hunt with us. Not now. I mean what was I think? You're pregnant." Deans voice cracked as he spoke, he was on the verge of breaking down.

You wished that you could tell him that you were ok, tell him not to cry, but you couldn't. It caused you pain to move never mind speak.

"Cas said you might not wake up and if you don't I-I don't think I could live with myself knowing that I could have saved. I guess that's what I do, I let the people around me down."

"Dean it's not your fault, you didn't do this." You cried but nothing came out.

"I was hoping you would be different, I wanted so much for you to different. I look at you and I see everything I've ever wanted but then I look at myself and I see nothing that you deserve. I wanted to be a better man for you but I failed and I know that baby isn't mine but I wanted us to be a family, to be happy. I love you. I always have." He chuckled to himself. "I don't know why I left it so long to tell you because now you might never know. I guess I was scared. God, I'm so stupid. You would have been better off never knowing me."

You could tell by Dean's voice that he was crying now. You begged your body to move to say anything. Suddenly you felt warmth course through your veins. You felt safe. It was grace.

"Dean." Your voice was barely above a whisper.

Dean wiped his eyes and smiled at you.

"Hey Y/N, welcome back you had us worried for a minute."

He wrapped his arms around you and pulled you into his chest.

"I love you too." You whispered into his shirt.

"You heard me." He laughed pressing a kiss to the top of your head.

"Dean meeting you was the best thing that ever happened to me and I want us to be a family and don't be afraid to tell me anything."

"No more secrets." Dean nodded.

You had one last secret. The reason you had woke up. The reason you had felt grace. Your baby was a Nephilim and you wouldn't survive giving birth.
