A/N - The song linked is nothing to do with the chapter (or storyline), it was just stuck in my head as I wrote it :P Enjoy!

*~~~~~*

Stirring slowly, I cracked my eyes open only to find myself surrounded by blackness and the faint murmur of voices somewhere in the distance. The damp smell of the air around me was accompanied by the distinct odour of urine through a tiny window opening onto the alley above as a bottle rolled through the oddly silent night. My eyes slowly started to adjust to the darkness as I could make out the ruffled bed sheets and bare walls staring back at me. Still drowsy from the previous night, I stumbled forward onto the harsh, cold concrete floor and tried to crawl forward, forgetting about the merciless chain shackling me to the wall behind. The sting of the bruised skin around my ankle and fresh tracks decorating my arms were a constant reminder of my situation; reinforced by the sound of a key jingling in the door. Hastily, I scrambled back onto the bed and buried my head beneath the thin sheet as he entered the room.

"Evening beautiful," he murmured softly into my ear as he peeled the blanket away from my mostly unclothed skin. The thin cotton underwear and white tank top I was allowed did nothing to warm my shivering body as he slowly caressed my outer thigh. I kept my eyes down, shielded by my long auburn locks as I felt the little food I had been fed repeatedly rise into my throat only to be forced down by my ritualistic swallowing.

"Look at me," he whispered as he trailed his hand along my leg towards the back of my knee.

"Look. At. Me." He commanded more forcefully as, out of pure fear and self-preservation, I continued to study the moving patterns of my inner eyelids.

Abruptly, I cried out as he hooked his hand behind the knee of my leg chained to the wall and pulled it forward angrily. I cursed myself as the throbbing pain of a sure sprain caused a tear to slip down my face as I looked up into the eyes of the man before me. Pushing my head up, I felt his large hand lock around my neck as his vice grip tightened and a sadistic grin spread across his face. Reaching out, my hands beat against his chest desperately as the blood pulsed in my ears like a roaring river and my eyes rolled back into my head. I began to splutter and scratch at his hands as the room around us fell away until we were surrounded by nothingness and I was crouched down before him. He seemed to increase in size as spots cluttered my vision and I felt the life quickly leaving my body.

"Tamzin?" A voice echoed through the room as her face appeared beside the evil man.

"Tamzin!" It called again, more urgently this time as a final choke escaped my lips and I smiled weakly at the woman.

"TAMZIN!" Matt yelled as I felt his grip around my arms shaking me violently. I opened my eyes and was met by his worried orbs as sweat dripped from every gland in my body and my erratic breathing began to subside. My nightshirt and shorts were plastered to my body and I was crouched in a corner of my room scratching at my now raw neck as Sasha and Freddie rushed into the room. There was blood under my nails and various items from my desk and shelves were scattered around the room. I felt my hands begin to shake and the room shrink as the air suddenly became thin.

"Tamzin, breathe! It's okay, its over, I'm here." Sasha soothed as she wrapped her arms around me tightly knowing it was the only thing that would calm me.

Closing my eyes, I copied Sasha's breaths and counted quietly until the room stopped spinning and I could walk towards my bed with Matt's help.

"I heard crashing and found you hyperventilating in the corner!" Matt explained as he helped me onto the soft mattress.

Sasha shooed the boys from the room before climbing into the bed next to me and enveloped me in a warm hug.

"It's been almost six months since my last night terror. They're just so real, almost like I'm reliving it all again but with a new way for him to kill me every time," I croaked before clearing my scratchy throat. "I thought they were finally gone."
