Summary: A mother and son stay in a mostly isolated house in the woods after the fathers tragic death. After an open house, the two notice a series of unsettling events that lead them to believe something or someone might be residing alongside them. Is it the flirtatious and friendly guy from the general store? The neighbor does spooky things, like saying her husband is dead and later saying he's well and alive. Maybe she's the killer. Review:
The original concept of the movie was good 'n scary, but it turned out terrible.
There were so many cliches, such as "I'm gonna go into the creepy basement and I'm not gonna turn the lights on! Nope! I'll just bring a flashlight with faulty batteries! No weapon either!"
The ending was so unsatisfactory and my family, whomI watched it with, were very disappointed. Seriously, the killer is never revealed. You don't even get to make a good inference. There are just a few very weak suspects. The movie ends with the two main characters dead too! I'm not saying that that alone is what was bad, but combining it with the rest of the poor movie made it very displeasing.
Overall, the movie was very unsatisfactory.
Score: 2/10
