Summary: All I can really say without spoiling too much is that it opens with two men chained to opposite sides of an old unsanitary bathroom with a dead body between them. The two must listen to tapes, solve puzzles, and communicate in order to put the pieces together of where they are, how they got there, and what is going on. They find that they have fallen victim to the infamous Jigsaw Killer, who has a recent history of similar "mind games" (torture traps) and enjoys making others suffer through twisted experiment-like games.
Review:
I really loved this movie, and what really annoys me is that it gets terrible reviews. For example, Rotten Tomatoes gave it a 49%. Also. It constantly gets the misconception that "Saw is ONLY about gore and torture! All it is, is a bunch of people sawing their limbs of and drilling through their eyeballs to get keys!" THIS IS NOT TRUE! The first installment is not excessively gory at all. It also has a very intricate plot line with an exceptionally mind blowing twist at the end. Like most franchises, the movies following the first one generally aren't as good, and yes they are pretty gory, but I seriously recommend giving this movie a try. 👍
My score: 8/10Like always, if you have further questions or anything, feel free to comment and I will always try to answer! :)
