chapter 2

Two weeks passed since I heard that lilly is moving to Europe, and she hadn't stop trying to find a roommate for me. Every time I walk home from work to find a stranger on my couch in the middle of an investigation with my sister.

She's getting really irritated cause even when they like the place they go and we never hear from them again.
She thinks I have something to do with it . but come on have you met me!! I would never...
I mean I might or might not have mentioned a ghost or a creepy naber or a stalker, but it's not my fault they actually believed me huh !

Today was different tho I walked to find lilly sitting on the couch alone watching TV

"What no visitors today ?" She looked at me with a fake smile, and I said Innocently "that's ashame I was really getting used to our new routine..."

"Haha very funny. It's just that I wanted you to take today off, cause you know scaring them away is getting too exhausting for you. You even got dark circles now you never had those before and you're the one who works god knows how many jobs..." She finished her fake smile still planted on her face

"I have no idea what you're talking about " I said facing her sounding the sweetest and most innocent.

"You can't fool me with your puppy face god knows there is a devil hiding behind those angelic features"

I smirked turning to head to my room "nothing you can prove sunshine..." I heard her footstep behind me and saw her leaning against the door while I opened my dresser to take some clean clothes .

"I still don't know how you can fool everyone to think that you're so... Innocent " I grinned

"That's a gift honey. But really all it takes is a smile you should try it sometimes ! Not the innocent thing you've got a reputation to keep... But a smile would be nice " I said while heading to the shower.

"I'M NOT GONNA GIVE UP ! YOU KNOW ..." she yelled after me

"I KNOW ! YOU GOT IT FROM ME "

Lilly -pov-

I was going threw some books at my favorite library, while my mind was occupied with Angel . I know that she can take care of herself, god knows she can. and maybe I'm acting like an over protective mother, or sister but I don't care she's the only person I care about, and I'm only gonna leave when I make sure She won't be alone. It has always been just me and her and I'm fine by that but she needs to meet new people and maybe lurns how to trust. I just need to find the right person to keep her company, someone she can't scare away ...

I tried to look for Andy the sweet lady that owns the place, I can't seem to make up my mind about a book again and she's always ready to help. But she's no where to be found. Instead I saw.someone else organizing the books on the shelves so I assumed anny finally agreed to let someone help her out at this place. I walked towards the person...

"Excuse me ! " she turned around "hey do you know where anny is I kinda need her help!" She kept staring at me wide eyes before a smile spread all over her face

"Lilly !! " I swear I recognise the voice and the accent from somewhere but not the person. "Oh! Come on I haven't changed that much ?"

I gave her a look up. she has short brown hair and tattoos covering her sleeves headphones around her neck and if it wasn't for her voice you would get so confused about her gender... And than I saw the tattoo on her neck

"RUBY !!!!!" I yelled still shocked about the fact that standing in front of my is my highschool frenemy ! Yes we had the strangest relationship ever she was the head cheerleader and I was captain of the basketball team. We had this cold war going on, it was our way to have fun on school ground we never miss a chance to get each other in trouble...

"I was beginning to worry that I didn't cause you enough trouble to remember me ! " she said with a chuckle. And even tho it's weird, ruby is actually one of the few people I liked back than. She never took shit from anyone but she was never your typical head cheerleader, she was nice with everyone and had her own vision of fun...

"So how are you! Weren't you back to Australia ? When did you come back ?"

"Easy on the questions detective ! I see you haven't changed that much " she said with a smirk "how about we get some coffee and catch up! I was about to close anyway "

And that's how we ended at a coffeeshop for two hours 'catching up' she told and how she told me that anny is her mother's best friend and she's living with her but how she's looking for a place to stay ! And than I knew the universe is on my side ... In your face angel. And as soon as those words left her mouth I was like ...

"Hey come over tomorrow for dinner at my place I want you to meet my sister " I said nonchalantly

"Um..." She was hesitating and I couldn't hide my excitement any longer

"You should come ! There's no much thinking to do come on " I said happy about the mischievous plan running threw my mind

"okey, Sure ! Why not" she said a sincere smile on her face .

I answered the door wearing my best smile

"Hey ! Glade you made it" I said as I stepped aside to let her in

"Well you did insiste on having me, and as the nice person that I am how can I refuse " she grinned

"Haha ! You can change your style or even your gender. I'm pretty sure a person like you is hard to change " I said heading towards the living room ruby by my side inspecting the area

"Nice place " she said sitting down on the couch, "is it just you and your sister ? "

"Thanx, andYeah. " things will change now that I'm leaving, I thought

"You've never mentioned a sister before ! How old is she "

" well we haven't exactly been the best of friends " I said and she smirked agreeing "she's 8 years younger than me "

"Oh well ! Is she in college? " as soon as she finished her question we heard the front door open.

"Find out yourself" I smiled at ruby . when Angel finally entered the living room

"Hey why did you leave th..." Her words went to wind as soon as she saw ruby "I see we have another guest tonight ! Lovely ... Nice to meet you I'm Angel " she said with her innocent smile sounding more happy than she actually is. And before Ruby could say anything "Lil, can I talk to you for a second. In the kitchen ?" She turned heading towards the kitchen

"Excuse me for a second" ruby just smiled

I bet all my money that she thought it was a boy that's why she's probably freaking out in the kitchen.
I don't blame her tho the girl is wearing a black leather jacket and covered in tattoos. So you can't tell if she's a sexy chic (yeah I said chic move on...) or a sexy dude, either way no one can deny the charm.
