Twin star exorcists Fantasy

Part 1

ROKURO P.O.V.

Hey. I am Rokuro, Enmadou Rokuro, the prince of Clarines! My father Arima-sama, the King, is trying to get me to approve a bride for myself. But none of them suit me.

I was walking down the forest path, when a cry broke the calmness of the forest. I ran to the spot. It was a small kid clutching the peach dress of a young maiden whose hair was a deep shade of indigo. The dress was torn here and there, but it was able to cover the extremely small and almost invisible curves of her body. Her emerald eyes were full of fear, and yet determination. Sweat beaded her long eyelashes. All of these made the maiden really beautiful but one thing was shocking. She held a bow, and a quiver of arrows rested on her back. The boy who cried was still crying, when he saw me.....

"Your Majesty. Please help." he whispered.

The girl turned around with an expression of shock towards me. I just stood there. The girl again turned towards whatever was scaring the child. It was a huge creature. 

It has been said that there have been kids getting kidnapped and never returning. Rumor has it that a young girl, who was often seen in the forest running around, was the one to take all the missing kids. And the description exactly matched the maiden standing in front of me. But she was protecting the child not harming it. I snapped out of my thoughts as the creature swung its tail at the girl and the boy. The girl was able to dodge the attack, but her arm was bleeding.

"Take care of him." she whispered to me.

I took hold of the child, and kept him close to my chest.

"I want to go home." the child started crying.

"If I take you out of the forest can you find your way back?"

"Yes your Majesty." 

I guided the boy to he village square and bade him goodbye. He murmured a thank you. I went back into the forest to see if the girl was safe. I couldn't deny the fact that I was worried. The girl gracefully pulled the last arrow from her back and attacked the beast where its heart stayed.

"HEY LOOK OUT!" I screamed, but too late. The creature knocked the wind out of the girl, by attacking her on the side with its tail, after which the arrow struck the creature dead. She crashed into a nearby rock. Worse her already injured arm gave a tiny sound, and she winced and squeaked in pain. I hurried to her side to check her condition. She flinched in fear as I came close to her. The girl obviously didn't want to stay close to a person from the royal palace.

"Its alright, I won't hurt you." I tried to calm her down, but she got even more terrified, and ran away from me clutching her arm. I chased after her till we reached a cliff. The maiden stood with her back towards the cliff's edge. I took a step nearer, and she took a step backward. She missed her footing, and fell off the edge. 

BENIO P.O.V.

I don't know why but I ran away from the kind prince who only wanted to help me. I held my broken arm, while I ran towards the cliff. I missed my footing when I took a step back.

"This is the end for me?" I thought, as I closed my eyes waiting to be swept away by the current of the river below me. My body touched the water , and I felt the river bed. I had given up all hope until a warm and strong pair of arms wrapped around me gently lifting me out of the water. Everything went black after that.
