"Who are they?" Otomi-san asked pointing to the picture beside my side of the bed. I didn't reply.
"Ah, Rokuro!" Otomi-san got excited, and I turned around to see Rokuro smiling at us. Then I noticed something for the first time. Rokuro never carried a sword around. All these times he saved me, he always used mine. And unlike his dad, his waist was empty. Princes usually have a sash to hold their sword sheaths in place, but he didn't even have one.
Now that I think about it, Otomi-san and the other people in the palace never questioned about the fight. Or who had saved him.
"Are you getting ready for the ball?" he asked us.
"Yep! I'm helping Adashino-san prepare."
"You're not coming?"
"No. Too much work to do at the pharmacy, and I am still trying to find out an antidote for The Nameless Poison." Otomi-san replied a bit sadly.
"Oh, its sad that you can't. Right Benio?" he looked at me.
"Yes, Otomi-san. It would have been better to know that you would be there to take care of me." I replied.
"Don't worry. Rokuro will certainly take care of you!"
"Mayura!"
And we all laughed. I didn't exactly laugh, but a smile played on my lips.
"Your Majesty. It is time for you to get ready." a servant called.
"Coming!" and Rokuro gave me a final grin before walking away to another room to get ready.
Otomi-san fished through the wide variety of clothes, and decided upon one. I took one look at it and went pale. The dress was purple with a huge wide neck. There were no sleeves and the back was open, and the skirt was so long that it would touch the floor. The worse part was when I tried to wear it.
