Chapter 3: Friend and Foe

What is tickling my nose?

Tired and groggy I lift my hand and feel what it is. Unable to identify it, I open my eyes to me big bright eyes, one golden, the other blue. Knowing immediately that it is Sarynn I smile "what are you doing."

"I am waking you up, it time for us to go to school... do you have a place where you can carry me, that it won't be suspicious if you bring it everywhere?" He floats up, letting his tail tickle my nose one more time before he goes to float by my computer.

"Umm... I have a school bag you can stay in, then when I'm not using it I have a small penny bag, it is little, but I am sure it is big enough for you to fit in comfortably." I say lifting up a small pouch.

"That will work." And he goes into the (F/C-Favorite color-) school bag, "lets get going, I don't wamt to be late om my first day of school... even though I really don't count."

I smile, finish getting ready, then leave with my bag in my hands, walking with Connor.

"So that Adrian is going to hang out at the zoo with Nino, I was invited... he also told me you can come if you want." Connor spoke, unsure how I felt about any of it.

I shook my head "I would love to, but I don't want to butt in on your guy bonding time."

"Well, he also said you can bring your friends. Adrian is a nice kid, and he likes having friends. I'm sure he would like to have you as a friend."

"Are you sure I can bring Alya and Marionette?"

"Ya (Y/N), he even said so."

Sighing I nod "ok, we'll go." Truth is, that Adrian is really cute, seems like a good kid too, and also Connor and I hate being separated, kind of separation anxiety I guess.

As we walk into school I see Marionette with Alya as Marionette does a few last minute homework problems.

"I was so busy last night! I forgot that I had homework!" Marionette was in full panic mode, literally 110% freaking out.

"Calm down girl, it happens to everyone, we forget. You have 10 minutes." Alya pat her back.

"Hey guys... busy this morning?" I wanted to wave but my hand was occupied petting the small, fuzzy, lion in my bag that was wanting my attention.

"You don't know the half of it, there was this storm last night near my house, and my parents needed help bording up the bakery. Then ladybug showed up telling us not to leave the house till the akuma was purified." Marionette tolds thw story quickly.

"I GOT HER AND CHAT NOIR ON VIDEO FOR MY LADYBLOG!"

I chuckled "I was saved by Chat Noir."

"Are you surious?! (N/N) girl, tell me what happened!" Alya shouted.

We all shared out stories, I obviously left out the finding Sarynn part though. In the middle of Alya's story the bell rang

"Lets get going to class." We all said in unison.

After class as I was approaching my locker, I was a pig wearing a blonde wig, with a yellow jacket, along with her red haired monkey side kick was there to greet me. Sighing I walk up and start to grab my things.

"So (N/N), can I call you that? Actually I will anyway, after all my daddy is the mayor." She giggled to herself "I am here to have a small chat with how my daddy felt after you said all those horrible things to cute little me...-"

She continued her blabber as I continued to ignore her, bropping a few crackers into my school bag for Sarynn.

Suddenly I felt my bag ripped out of my hands. Stunned I look up to see Chloe holding it.

"It's so ugly, where did you get it? A dumpster?" She looked at me, and didn't even give me time to open my mouth "oh look she didn't answer! So she did get it from a dumpster. Probably the same one she lives in!"

Starting to lose it, I get ready to yell at her, unleash every insult and witty comback I have. When I hear a calm voice behind me.

"Chloe, what are you doing?" It was Adrian.

A smile spread onto her face as she dropped my bag along with all its contents "ADRIKINS! Oh, I was just telling her that her bag is nasty and she needs a new one."

Quickly I get down and start to look for Sarynn, not wanting to fail at keeping him secret. Adrian seemed to have moved her off of him as he bent down to help me put things away.

"I'm sorry about her behavior, (Y/N), right? She really could be a nice person sometimes."

"Really? She hasn't seemed nice lately."

Nodding Adrian put things away into my bag "I honestly think your bag looks fine."

"Thanks, and I didn't get it from a dumpster like she said I did. It was my mom's when she went to school. My dad actually gave this to her when they were in middle school."

"Really, so this bag has a story. Anyway, are you coming to the zoo today?"

"Ya, if I can bring Alya and Marionette." I continue my search for Sarynn, I finally spot him chewing on my notebook. Quickly I pick him up and put him into my pocket.

"Of course, I thought your brother told you they were invited?"

"He did, just making sure."

He nodded "we will meet at the park after school." And with that he walked away.

Going into the bathroom I took out Sarynn "are you ok?"

He nodded "I'm fine, but can I go back into the bag to eat? Kinda hungry."

"Sure." I opened the bag and watched him start to eat crackers.

"Thanks (Y/N)!"

After school I brought Alya and Marionette to the park, I didn't tell then why though yet, I want it yo be a surprise.
