You woke up the next morning to the shower running, and you were briefly confused until you remembered the man who was currently living with you. It was the next day and the sun that was out yesterday was replaced by the rain.
You sighed slipping out of bed, putting your slippers on and going down to the kitchen to make breakfast for the both of you.
It was practically silent minus the sounds of the pancakes being made and the shower running faintly in the background. You made two, kind of large, plates of pancakes and you placed them on the breakfast bar. You turned, ready to call the unknown man to breakfast when he was stood in front of you. Water dripping down his skin and his hair stuck to his forehead.
"I forgot that I don't exactly have any clothes..." He trailed off and you blinked slowly, trying your hardest not to stare, but then what caught your eyes were the ears on top of his head.
"You have... ears..." You trailed off and his eyes widened, his hands lifting from the towel around his waist to cover his ears and the towel dropped. Your eyes widened further and you let out a squeal grabbing the towel and wrapping it around his waist with fumbling hands.
"I'm sorry! I understand if you want to get rid of me!" He cried out.
"Don't worry about it!" You had a dark blush across your cheeks and you gently took his hands from his ears. "Let's get you clothes and then eat breakfast before your towel falls again."

Needless to say that the boy had no idea why his towel dropping had made you so flushed.
"So you're a hybrid?" You spoke quietly. He nodded looking down at his empty plate. "Are you still hungry?" He shook his head.
"I'm full, thank you." He spoke. "I'm a Rabbit hybrid, it's rare that I'm wanted as most people enjoy having big cats or dogs because they're able to fight in those underground fights and they get them money."
"Oh." You spoke quietly, not to fussed on eating anymore. "Well please don't think that just because you're a hybrid and you're a rabbit hybrid that you're not welcome here." He looked at you with confusion.
"Why? Why are you being so kind to me?"
"You remind me of an old friend." You spoke quietly. "He was a hybrid too. He was a leopard." You stood up and picked up the photo he had seen when he had first came here. "He wouldn't fight... he had killed someone in a fight because his animal instincts took over. His owner sent him to be put down. At the time I worked at the place he was sent - just a local vets that primarily dealt with animals and not hybrids." You paused and saw Jungkook was listening intently, his long ears on top if his head tilted towards you. "I helped him escape and took him in. He was aggressive at first." Your hand gently trailed across your shirt where there was a scar. "But he warmed up to me. We lived together for three years and then suddenly he disappeared. I haven't seen him since."
"You looked for him?"
"Everywhere." You felt the tears welling up in your eyes. "I never found him."
As the first few tears fell, you felt two muscular arms wrap around you slowly and gently, turning you in the seat and your head fell into his chest.
"Don't cry." He frowned. "Just because it's crying outside doesn't mean you can cry."
"I'm bawling into some guys chest." You laughed weakly, wiping your tears away with your sleeve. "I'm not usually like this."
"I'm not just 'some guy'." He pouted. "I'm Jungkook."
He let go of you and turned and grabbed his empty plate - going to the sink and washing his cutlery and plate. Your eyes widened when you noticed the little cotton tail poking out his pants.
"Cotton Tail!" You exclaimed before covering your mouth. Jungkook froze, his ears twitching.
"Y-Yah!" He exclaimed his hands reaching to cover the little grey tail.
"Don't cover it." You giggled softly walking up beside him. "It's cute." You stood beside him drying what he washed - too focused on drying the ceramics to notice the blush bright on his cheeks.
