Night had fallen fast. No more than an hour ago the sky was painted with hues of red, orange and pink, but all colors had faded leaving nothing, but the darkness and the bare light of the street lamps which were trying their most to brighten the sidewalks; as the moon hid for tonight . Leaving dark clouds to hover over Gulim. I stood outside the hospital waiting for Arial, as she fled to clear my files. I closed my eyes as I leaned against the wall. Taking a deep breath I inhaled the cold autumn air which slowly dissolved in my lungs.

I open my eyes to see people running for shelter, some had already opened up their colorful umbrellas as the clouds spat out their beads of water. Puddles began plinking as the rainfall became heavier. Standing under the hospital shedded entrance I could hear the murmuring of the rain through it. Bringing my hand forwards I let the beads drop onto my palm forming a small pool in the middle of my palm.

I shiver as the wind blows towards my direction causing me to tightly grab my black winter coat that Arial paired with blue jeans and laced up black winter boots .Holding onto it, I slowly sink my face in the neck of the jacket finding warm in the damn clothes.

Muttering a few curses, I look to the left, seeing the guard standing straight with not even an inch of emotion on his face. I looked in his direction to see him glaring at a man in black across the street . Most of his face was covered under his black umbrella but his uncanny grin couldn't be unseen. I stared at him long enough until he disappears behind a truck. Still figuring out who he was? I was butt in by Arial. Looking at her appearance, her hair flying every direction it could, her smothered lipstick and the furious ocean in her eyes. "whoa! You okay "I said with a shocked expression. She uttered nothing instead motioned me to follow.

I looked at the guard one last time before leaving, giving a smile I sympathized him for standing out In the cold in that summer uniform. Walking behind Arial's tiny figure. Unclear about my surrounding ?" I questioned "Where are we going. "oh I'll let you know when we get there" she responded with a chilly giggle.

I looked around trying to summon my memories, but it was hopeless. The stars were somewhere behind the haze of black cloud. We continued to walk the track as cars flocked here and there. The downtown was lit by the neon lights of the clubs and bars, shinning on the rain-kissed sidewalks. Entering into one of the dark alley , I paused for a moment finding the darkness strange. "Arial" I voiced in panic. "this- is- not- funny- okay" I shuttered . looking at the dark street my feet hesitated to step in I forced my body into the dark. my heart was about to explode and my eyes were wide, letting in every ounce of the fading light. "Arial can you hear me" I whispered before shutting my eyes.

"close your eyes
don't let them see you awake
they go by finding the ones
they can prey
so lay your head
and let the darkness.
play with your hair" sweet dreams lee
