Levy's POV

Every so often I sneak out the castle long enough to see my friends living in Sherwood Forest! I love seeing them, Gajeel especially. Something about him makes my heart race. It could be that he's quite handsome, even if he's covered in studs. Or it could be that he's a better gentleman than any of the suitors I've met over the years.

I reach the meeting point and Gray there's to take me. I do the usual, closing my eyes, and following his footsteps as our arms are linked.

"Levy!" Erza laughed hugging me, my eyes snapped open.

"Woah! Hey Erza!" I laughed.

"I need some girl talk right now!" She dragged me away before I could say anything. After a few minutes she led me to the lake, and plonked me down on the floor.

"What's up?"

"I think Gajeel likes you!"

"What!" I squeal, my heart racing more than usual. I glance at my reflection and I'm blushing a bright red.

"I think he likes you. Every time you come visit he's extra happy, and more like a gentleman when he's with you." She had a pearly smile on her face. "Do you like him?"

"Is that the feeling when you heart races more rapidly?" I smiled weakly putting a hand on my heart.

"You like him!" She hugged me. "It was so obvious!"

"It was!" I squealed, covering my face in embarrassment.

"It was! But MetalHead doesn't understand feelings! Tell him tonight, please."

"I think I will."

"You will?" Erza looked shocked.

"I will. Anyways you like anyone?" She blushed the colour of her hair.

"There's this amazing man in a village nearby. His name's Jellal. I've spoken with him a couple of time when we give money back and I can't help but like him! I doubt he likes me back." She frowned, staring at her feet. "How could he like me?"

"Erza." I make her face me. "Erza you are one of the most beautiful women I know. How could he not like you?"

"Really? You think he likes me?"

"Keep talking with him, and tell him. He'd be an idiot to miss out on you!"

"Thanks Levy! Remember tell Gajeel tonight!"

Gajeel's POV

The afternoon sky fades into a orange, meaning Levy must leave. I really don't want her to.

"I best be going. Who's turn is it to show me out?" Levy stood up, brushing down her simple dress.

"Gajeel will!" Erza volunteered me.

"Come on Shrimp!" We laugh as she pouts and walks past me.

"I'm waiting." She moaned closing her eyes. I'm so tempted to kiss her.

"Let's get you home." Instead of linking arms I take one of her hands and lead her through the forest.

"Can I open my eyes yet?" She squeaked.

"Almost."

"Please Gajeel." She whimpered.

"Fine, I'm trusting you here."

I let go of her hand as her eyes fluttered open. We walked back to the meeting place in silence. We got there and it was awkward.

"I best be going. Get home safe Maid Levy." I bowed and started to walk away.

"Gajeel, wait." She held onto my wrist. "Please wait."

"What is it Shrimp?"

"I-I-I." She stuttered, blushing maroon.

"You what?" I laughed at how cute she was.

"Stop laughing!" Tears welled in her eyes.

"Are you okay?" I frowned.

"I'm an idiot." She whispered. "I'll see you soon Gajeel."

"Levy. Wait. Obviously this is important. Just tell me."

"I like you Gajeel. More than a friend. My heart beats so much faster when I'm with you. I like you."

"Levy." I smiled, pulling her in for a kiss. " I like you too."

The kiss was simple and sweet. This moment could never end. But it did and with a brighter blush on her face as she left, slipping back inside the castle.
