Chapter 33

Death.

He is dead.

He wants to be dead.

And death was what he was going to get.

But not without doing something first.

She was woken up by a scream. It was her own scream, as she screamed out into the oblivion. Rapunzel clung onto the hope, the hope that he would be there for her. Not to save her, for she is not that girl anymore. The only person who can save her from herself, is now herself.

But she wanted something. All she could imagine was his face, the emotion that was there for seconds. Rapunzel missed that emotion.

She missed the emotion that she would get from herself.

"Are you okay?" Ariel asks.

"No." Rapunzel whispers, holding her legs to her stomach, loving the support they hold.

"It's not over." Tinkerbell says. "You obviously still affect him, he-"

"It is over. At least that part of the plan is."

Because of that, she only smiled slightly. Rapunzel's plan was already working. He ran away from her, which was what she was riding on. Without that, she would not have known Peter Pan was still in there somewhere. The thoughts of her are now imprinted into his mind.

Yet even though she knew he would run away, Rapunzel still was hurt that he did. He shut her out. And she wished he did not.

"And now what?" Tinkerbell asks. "R, are you sure you can do this? Your powers-"

"I'll be fine." She cuts her friend off. "I've trained for this for all of these years. I'm prepared to do anything, including risking my life, to help Neverland. A little nosebleed won't stop me."

"You know it might come out to be more." Tink presses her lips in a straight line, something the dark prohibited any of the others to see.

"It won't." Rapunzel says, trying to convince herself as well. "All right? Just let it go."

"Okay, R."

Something was dropped onto Henry's lap as one of the lost boys went by.

He was scared, and quickly puts it between his legs.

And he was glad he did, for Pa-Malcolm suddenly started walking towards him.

"Hey." Henry said, tauntingly. "Missed you."

"Henry." Malcolm warns. "Stand up. You need to help me with something."

The smirk faded, as he tried not to look to his lap. If he stood up, it would fall out. "Not gonna happen."

"Henry, just get up. Come on."

"I'm not moving. You lost my trust when you lied about my family being here. Get Felix to help you."

"Dammit, Henry. Just get the hell up!" As Malcolm turned away for a few seconds, it was enough for Henry to switch the location of the letter to the middle of his legs to the waistband of his pants, the shirt over it. The boy finally stands up, looking annoyingly at Malcolm.

"Where are we going that's so important?"

Malcolm grabs onto Henry's arm and pulls him along, not saying another word.

All Henry could do was hope Rapunzel kept her promise of protecting him.

As she stared at the boat going off in the distance, Rapunzel was scared. She never thought she would be scared, but that was exactly what she was feeling. This was bad.

What was she supposed to do? She didn't even get the chance to properly prepare! She thought it would still be in a few days!

Rapunzel closes her blue eyes, wishing it wasn't true. But opening them she saw that the boat was still steady going across the ocean, towards the place where everything will go down.

"Gather the family members. The plans have been taken a turn of differency."

"Where are we?" Henry warily asks Malcolm, though he knew. Endless watching of Peter Pan: the movie would have never leave his mind, as the big cave in the shape of a skull came into view.

"Skull Rock. Our plans are being pushed ahead a few days."
