Chapter 20
The screams were heard once again outside of the cabin, waking Rapunzel up. When she looked over to the bed next to her, Peter was not there. He must have fallen asleep and Pan must be out there somewhere.
Should she do what she did last time? Go outside the room and allow her spirit inside of Peter, to see what Pan is doing?
He was doing this because he wanted her to see something he was doing. She was afraid, and he was ruthless.
But to defeat thy enemy you must know thy enemy.
So she stood up.
And she watched her pale feet as they walked themselves over to the door in short strides. She was breathing out her fear in raspy breaths.
Her hand was then out in front of her, moving the door open, and she stepped out.
When she steps out, she felt the feelings of the other boys crowding around her. She felt the dream Peter was dreaming of a better life; of a Neverland without Pan.
She also felt Pan's pain at this, but also the overbearing thoughts of slaughter. Plans that were hidden in the dark crevasses of his mind, hidden with lock and key.
"Nice of you to join," Pan says sarcastically. He is walking in a fast pace in the dark woods, dodging around trees and depree on the woodsy floor.
Rapunzel wanted to speak back, but God knows she couldn't. She was just a mere watcher, nothing she could do about it.
"This is good." He comments. "For once in your life you can't talk."
She didn't know if he could hear her thoughts of hatred towards him, which scared her. She didn't want to be left vulnerable, especially in front of Pan.
"You see, if I may, I would like to take you and show you something." Pan says, though he knows she wouldn't be able to protest even if she had wanted to. "I just want you to see who you're really up against."
There in front of them now, was the Jolly Roger. He's taking her to see Hook.
Since the slope to get onto the ship was not there, Pan just flew himself up onto the deck. Though it was dark out, the whole ship was lively. She had wondered what time it was, but the last time she had a set figure on what exact time it was since her tower. She now only had the time of the sun and the moon.
He went right through the crowd of people, not even taking much account for every single one of Hook's crew members stopping what they were doing to stare.
Pan opened up a door to the inside of the ship, and immediately shut it after him, somehow managing to not make even the slightest of a sound. He then hid in the shadows, watching the people in the room.
It was two people who had their backs to them. A woman with greyish-brown hair that Rapunzel right away made out to be Gothel, and a man with black hair that was no doubly Hook.
