Part 4, The broadcast.

[18 days later, dry-cloudy, USA-Florida. 3pm-8pm.]

Alex's mood has lightened up, both Pete and Alex worked together to survive in the shack. No questions were asked about the past, it was as if the world didn't end. "Pete I got the generator running!" Alex shouted from behind the shack pulling on the generators lead till it sparked up. "Power at last! Alex stay out here for a sec will ya? Gonna check the radio." Peter grumbled with his rust voice, Alex did as peter said as always he obeyed Pete cause he knew he'd be hopeless without him.

Pete walked into the kitchen area of the shack he grasped the little cheap plastic radio, he kept twisting the dial till he could find a signal. "Damn fucking radio... cheap peace of shit!" Pete was starting to get frustrated but before all hope was lost he found something. The radio echoed, "This is your president speaking, the outbreak of virus X has caused the world to come to a stand still. I believe that not all of us will survive... this is a world wide event, we cannot contact any other country. Our services are trying there hardest to restore order. We keep you updated for feather information. Stay safe! - this is an emergency broadcast signal from Donald J, Trump. This broadcast was launched at 14th of September, 2017 at 12am. This message will now repeat." Pete instantly turned off the radio and gulped, stood there in shock he whispered. "God save us all."

Alex walked into the shack with two jerrycans from the truck. "Pete we need more gas if we're gonna get out of this place" Alex dropped the cans and walked into the kitchen. "Pete?" Alex witnessed peter in shock, Alex claps his hands as he does so Pete escapes from his thoughts. "God damnit Alex didn't I tell you to wait out side?!" He throws the radio on the floor with frustration. Alex's begins to cry yet again running out of the shack and into the truck. "What a pussy." Pete says tirelessly...
