February, 20, 1983
Margrete walked into, Macomb Mall making her way to the sears department. She was looking around hoping to see Lyles. She had been in the Womens homeless shelter for about a month now and hadn't talked to him since. To her luck, he was standing there right at the cash register. It was two o'clock so it was his break time. Lyles turned around spotting Margrete. She stood by the entrance of the store, waiting for him to approach her. He walked up to her opening his arms to embrace her. She embraced him back feeling good in his arms. She almost didn't want to let go. "So how you been? It's been a month since I heard or seen you. That's not like us. Did I do something wrong?" Lyles ask. No actually you didn't anything wrong. They walked to the resteraunt they normally sat at togather. So what's up, why you haven't tried to reach out in a month. Well alot was going on at home. Oh, your man? Yeah well not my man any more. Oh really? Lyles was shocked but at the same time a little happy. He had to play it off though. What happened? His little side piece was up here the day we was talking. She called him and told him she saw me and you up here getting cozy or whatever and he kicked me and the kids out. Damn the kids too? Yeah, and to make matters worse she pulled up with her bags ready to move in. He walked in with her and shut the dor in my face. I was devastated. You shouldn't be, you should see it as a blessing. your finally away from that loser ass nigga. You didn't need that shit any ways and from what you tell me your kids dont either.Yeah I guess your right. I went down to the womens shelter, I've been there for a month now. I just had to get myself emotionally in order before I came here to see you. I understand. Well I'm not gone rush into anything, but I'm here when you need me. Margrete moved in close to Lyles laying on his shoulder thank you. All the down sides of her situation, Lyles seem to be the only upside at the moment.
