Suddenly I wake up from loud bangs and turbulence.
I follow the sounds, which is hard since they seem to come from everywhere.
I walk around trying to find Omu on my unsteady legs.
What the hell is that wanker up to?
"Hey space man would you mind stop doing that?!", I yell out in the thin air hoping he will hear me.
"Ouch earth woman would you mind not yelling?", Omu says through a speaker on the wall.

"Sorry, where are you?".

"The control room, I told yo..".

"But you didn't tell me where".

"There's a map by the entrance".

I walk up to the entrance, the map shows that they control- room is just next- door.

"You could've just told me you were in this room", I say as I walk into the control- room.
"Well I wouldn't have told you at all if you were to keep insulting me".

"Am I insulting you?", I ask in a very rather insulting way.
"Watch out so I don't throw you out of the door".
"Oh I'm so scared, the supermarket parking- lot is my worst fear".
Omu turns around quickly before turning back to his control- board.
"Uhmm....".
"What?".
"Look out of the window".
Doing as he says, my eyes can't help but to notice a consistent black color.
"It's dark outside?".
I keep looking and notice a grey and orange orb coming into focus with several rings around it.
What the shite?

"Is that Saturn?".
"Yup".
"So we're in space?".
"Yup".
"Not in Glasgow?".

"Nope".

Without thinking I start screaming like someone getting stung by a bee several times.

"Do you have a feud with someone there on Saturn?".
"Of course I don't, humans haven't been able to travel this far you utter buffoon!".

"Do you want me to drop you off?".
"I think the hell not".

"Calm down ma'am".

I accidentally punch Omu in the face.
"Ohhh so peas aren't the answer punches is how people calm themselves, that explains a lot".
"Yeah", I say and try to calm myself, I've always had anxiety but right now my heart rate is probably faster than the motors of this damned ship.
"Are you okay miss?", Omu says without turning away from the ship, probably noticing my heavy breathing.
"Why am I here, on this ship?".
"Truth is, the fold is your entire existence but this event was the main trigger".

"So I'm the reason why half the people on earth might die?".
"Not only you".
This is too much man, I have to sit down.
In the corner of my eyes, with my head resting in my knees, I notice Omu walking up to me.

"I get that you're having an existential crisis and that you want to go back to your normal life and I can fix that right after I've fixed this little thing, okay?".
I think about it long and well.

Crazily enough I don't think I'd want to return, space is so beautiful from here and everything is so new and exciting. If I'd stayed at the paper factory I'd get stuck there in an endless circle of despair.
"Is it okay if I follow you until you've fixed this whole saving earth thing, as you said my existence was a mistake so I might as well do something with it".
He highers his pointing- finger as if to say something but changes his mind and goes back to the control- panel.
"Just because something wasn't meant to happen doesn't mean it was a bad mistake", he says after a while.

That feels slightly reassuring.
I decide to approach the huge glass window in front of me, it shows a huge orange colour getting clearer and closer.
