Uhh...hi. My name is Dib Membrane. I was thinking about keeping a journal for a long time, so here I am. I'm kind of new to this whole journal thing, so bear with me.

Tomorrow is the first day of the rest of my life. 10th grade. No longer are you a young freshman, but a growing, changing young adult. My younger sister, Gaz, is entering Hi Skool this year too. You would think that your parent would stick around for this turning point in your life, right? To help support you and give you advice? My dad, the famous Professor Membrane, is leaving for Japan today. He's going to be gone for three months while working with them on some big project or whatever. He didn't even consider our feelings when he ditched our family. I always wondered if my dad hated me. Now I have proof that indeed he does. I'm not ready for this Skool year. Neither is Gaz, no matter what she might say.
