Voting-Rules & Timelines

**Voting was closed as of 12:00 on March 1, 2018 EST.  Please stay tuned for your finalists on March 3, 2018.  Thank you for your participation.**

Voting will open at approximately 8:00 on February 13, 2018 and will run until 11:59 p.m. on February 28, 2018, and is open to everyone in the relevant comment sections once voting is open.

. People can vote for as many stories as they like in a single category, but cannot vote for any story more than once per category. Any duplicate votes by the same voter will only count as one total vote for that story. (i.e. you can vote for stories A, B, and C by authors X, Y, and Z in the same category; however an individual voter cannot submit even 2 votes for story A by author X in the same category, as those will count as only one vote for story A)

. Each category will have its own voting page to allow for clarity in voting. Please vote for each category on its relevant page, as other votes may be considered null and void.

. All votes must include in the voting post the name of the story and the author. Any votes missing any of the listed information will be considered null and void.

. For the Best Series category, all elements of a series are considered as a whole in terms of nominations and voting. For instance, the American Woman series includes all 4 books, the Sun, Moon & Stars series includes all of its books, from Sun, Moon, and Stars through My Love is Forever & Forever in my Heart.

. For any other category, each component of a series is considered separately for both nominations and voting, so American Woman Book 1, would be considered its own story, American Woman Book 2 would be its own story, etc.

. For the Golden Eggplant Award for Most Original Commenter, only the name of the person being voted for and the category are required for voting purposes.

. Any votes submitted after the 11:59 p.m. February 28, 2018 deadline will be considered null and void.

. Once the voting window has passed, all votes will be sorted and counted according to the rules, with the top two or three finalists being awarded stickers for their achievements.

. The finalists in each category will then be passed along to our four person, reader only, judging panel for final judging with a due date of March 16, 2018 to declare winners.

. All award winners will receive a single special edition book cover (book cover to detail the story's achievements), as well as a winner sticker which can be affixed to the book cover of your choice for each category win.

o In the event that a winning story already has an existing book cover, the winner is free to request a new cover for any of their other stories if they choose.

. For the Golden Eggplant Award for Most Original Commenter, the prizes to be awarded are both a winner sticker which can be affixed to your icon or background.

Everyone's opinion matters, so make your voices heard. More importantly though, have fun.
