O' darling, goodnight.
Lay thy head on tufts of grass,
Let the hills cradle thee.

Hush now, child, don't be afraid
Sir Owl shall protect thee tonight
Glowing eyes frighten all

Listen dear, listen well
For thou might not hear it again
Take my words, the copper key

The gateway to my misty world
lies 'neath the earthen caves.
Follow the sound of the river

Wear flower garlands 'round thy neck
Wear bracelets of glass on thy wrists
Dance upon the shimmering ocean

Lady Dawn is rosy with delight
Sir Owl retires for the day
They waltz at the edge of the horizon

Skip away from the waves
Flutter with winds into the sky
Thy cousins, clouds, whisk thee away

Fall from their clutches back to her
Hold thy mountain close to heart
Step onto her broad shoulders

A desert wants you to shrivel

An ocean wants you to drown

A tundra wants you to freeze

A forest wants you to be lost

But I want you home.
