"I can't do this anymore!"
"Come on, Mars! We can just stop caring what they think! We can keep doing what we love!"
"I don't love when people are so mean!"
"Don't listen to them!"
"I'm done with this! You don't even care!" her feet shook the room as she ran out.
That was the day I lost her.
I still think of it.
All of it.
I'm such a loser.
A greedy loser.
But people won't care.
Cause it's just Titanic.
And he's just a character, right?
I remember that day when we were going to be signed to a record label. When we arrived, it was an utter nightmare.
People were so prejudice.
And rude.
I was disgusted by it and told them off. So they kicked us out, which I was glad.
Some people said that the music she made was irrelevant to the generation and made her look like a desperate slut. I was disgusted by it and told them off. So they kicked us out, which I was glad.
Brittany was mortified and too scared to make music or videos, which was weird for her. But I understood and gave her time.
Soon we were back up and making videos. I was so relieved she didn't wanna give up on this.
Until she saw people's opinions.
She saw what people said in the comments. She didn't like them. She told me to disable the comments for the videos. I did so because I didn't want her to leave because of a couple of people's unwanted perspectives.
Then I really wanted people to comment again.
She didn't want to.
But I told her that the whole point of what we were doing was to get a reaction, good or bad.
It wasn't to get a reaction saying "Wow omg you're so amazing marry me!" But I wanted a reaction. I knew people wouldn't understand and I knew people thought it was weird, but if you really think about it, they were just normal videos with a different kinda style. They were ordinary things that ordinary people did. But we changed one thing to make them different.
We got reactions.
Brittany agreed to enable the comments. She just didn't read them.
But it was catching up to her.
She was seeing videos suggestions and screenshots and photos.
And she ran.
So now Poppy can't run.
She probably will.
I can't let her.
