"We're actually graduating."

We all remembered that day as the greatest in our lives. Or so I thought.

"Marty, I'm pregnant."

—Marty's POV—

"Marty, I'm pregnant." Buffy said through sobs.

I stood there shocked for a second.

"Please don't— please don't be mad." She whimpered. I rushed over to her and scooped her in my arms.

"No baby. Why would I be mad?" I asked bewildered.

"I heard that a lot of boyfriends leave their girlfriend if they get pregnant." She said. She had calmed down a little.

"I will never leave you." I kissed her forehead. "Is that why your crying?"

"Yes and no. I was crying because I'm really happy but also because I was scared you would be mad."

"Awe baby. Come here." I sat down beside her and wrapped her in my arms. "I'm so happy. We're going to be parents!"

Tears started sliding down my cheeks.

"No, now your crying. I'm sorry." Buffy started crying again.

"Baby, these are happy tears." I said. I brushed a few locks of hair from her eyes. "I love you. We've spent the past six years together and now we get to be parents together."

I kissed her softly on the cheek. I pulled her close to me. She laid her head on my chest.

Buffy closed her eyes and drifted off to sleep. I leaned over and picked up the pregnancy test.

Sure enough, there were the two lines. Buffy's pregnant. She's going to be a mom. I'm going to be a father.

We're going to be parents.

"Marty? Buffy? Why are you sleeping on the floor and why does it look like you both have been crying?" Buffy's dad said as he walked in the bathroom.

Buffy and I stood up. Buffy looked worried but I grabbed her hand as reassurance. She looked over at me and I nodded at her.

"Dad, we need to tell you something." Buffy said.

"Okay?"

"Dad, I'm— Im pregnant." Buffy said quietly. "Marty and I are going to be parents and your going to be a grandparent."

Her dads face lit up with excitement. He grabbed Buffy and I and pulled us into a hug.

"Yay!" He screamed. "I'm so happy! But this does not mean I'm getting old. Got it?"
