7) Rumors

Two Days Later

Brian- I look at Zak from beneath the blankets I'm cuddled in. (Whines) "Must you go?"

Zak- I finished getting dressed and slide my phone into my pocket. I turn to see Brian has buried himself in the blankets. (Chuckles) "Yes I need to go and I'm dropping you off at the Museum with the guys."

Brian- "Why can't I go with you?"

Zak- (Sighs) "Because Nick and I have some things to work out...then you can meet him."

Brian- "Okay."

Zak- (Rolls Eyes) I disappear into the closet and come back out with clothes. "This is what you'll be wearing today."

Brian- I push off the covers as I sit up...immediately grabbing the clothes, I examine them. (Rolls Eyes)

Zak- (Smirks) "Into the bathroom with you and make it quick, we have to go!"

Brian- "Fine, fine." I climb out of bed grabbing the offending clothes and disappearing into the bathroom.

Ten Minutes Later

Zak- I glance at my watch. "Let's go Brian."

Brian- I open the door and walk out. "Why did you want me dressed like this?" The clothes my boyfriend had given me are; skin-tight black ripped jeans, skin tight black t-shirt with a neon 'Superman' logo paired with black converse.

Zak- In all honesty Brian looked hot, not only with his tattoos but he got his bottom lip (snake bite) and ears re-pierced. "Damn you look sexy!"

Brian- (Blushes)

Zak- (Hums Thoughtfully) "Your missing something." I disappear into the closet for a few moments.

Brian- I am beginning to think his favorite place is the closet.

Zak- I return and walk up to him. "Your outfit isn't quiet complete and..." I reach up and fasted a black leather collar around his neck with a small padlock. "I want people to know you are taken!"

Brian- My eyes widen in surprise, I reach up fingering the collar. (Squeaks) "Zachary!"

Zak- "I promise it'll be removed later, just while we are apart it would make me feel better that you wear it." I grasp his jaw between my hands. "I love you, now let's go!" I grab his hand and pull him out of the manor and to the car.

Brian- I had enough time to pocket my phone before I'm dragged from the house.

Haunted Museum

Jay- Aaron, Billy, Ashley and myself are waiting outside when Zak pulls up.

Aaron- We immediately notice Brian's outfit, more specifically the accessory around his neck. "Uh Zak claim ownership?"

Billy- Their relationship or sex-life more specifically was none of our business. "Possible." (Shrugs Indifferently)

Zak- I pull up in front of my Museum and park. (Smirks) "Have fun babe."

Brian- (Smiles) I give him a kiss. "You too." I quickly exit the car.

Ashley- I skip over and wrap around Zak's treasure. "Come on...we are going to have so much fun!"

Brian- (Chuckles) I allow the enthusiastic woman to pull me inside as the others followed in behind us.

Zak- I watch them enter the building, then I throw the car into drive and speed off to the meeting place.

Bar

Nick- I look up from my drink and see Zak walk in finally. (Sighs) I wave him over.

Zak- I see Nick and walk over, sitting down across from him.

Nick- "Skipping the BS small talk, are the rumors true?"

Zak- (Snorts) "WOW! It's good to see you too Groff."

Nick- (Rolls Eyes) "Answer the damn question!"

Zak- "Why? Last I checked even after I dropped the court charges, you still wanted nothing to do with me. You've wanted nothing to do with me or the GA since Annabelle my Goddaughter was born. You know you sound kinda jealous?"

Nick- I reach across the table and slap him.

Zak- I reach up rubbing my stinging cheek. "Feel better?"

Nick- I sit back in my chair. (Huffs) "No and I'm sorry." A waitress comes and gets us drinks. "Well...please explain the rumors."

Zak- "Nick I was always closest to you until you got married to Vee. Though of course I told the others just not specific details..."

Nick- (Nods) I gesture for him to continue.

Zak- (Sighs) "The rumors are true...I've found the one whom I see my forever with. I finally understand what you mean by the whole gravity thing and the world fading."

Nick- I notice Zak starts staring off into space with a rather dreamy expression. "So a Joker stole your heart?"

Zak- I lean on my hand. "My heart...my soul..."

Nick- (Chuckles) "Oh you are fucked. Wait aren't you the 'Master' type?"

Zak- (Raises Eyebrow) "Ya why?"

Nick- "You must truly have found the one...if you're doing the whole romance thing."

Zak- I give him a kick.

Nick- (Groans) I rub my shin. "That was not necessary."

Zak- I flip him off.

Nick- "When can I meet the pet whom domesticated you?"

Zak- "He asked the same thing..."

Nick- "Really? Wait...he knew we were meeting?"

Zak- "There are no secrets between us."

Nick- "Wow..."

Zak- "You know you're still allowed at the manor, whenever your free take a stop by."

Nick- "I'll do that. I actually have another 72 hour location here in Nevada so I may stop in after."

Zak- "Fine by me."

Nick- "It's good to see you again and maybe for the sake of Annabelle we can rekindle our relationship?"

Zak- "Ya, I'd like that." (Smiles)

Nick- I glance at my phone, checking the time. "I've got to get going, needed at the location but I'll definitely be stopping by." I get up and walk around the table, leaning down I kiss Zak's cheek. "It really is good to see you again."

Zak- After all this time and no matter if I've moved on or not, Nick still takes my breath away. "Same Nick." I watch the younger male, walk out the door...again. "Well fuck!"
