TWENTY~FOUR

Garroth POV
It's been two hours already. Zane and Travis are still in there. Dad has been pacing around the waiting room. To be honest it takes all my strength and Laurence to keep me from doing it.

Dante is making sure Vylad stays sitting down, to be truthfully honest with them I think Vylad is somewhere between five and six months. I understand why they wanted to wait but I'm a bit upset that they did wait.

Now the problem is, Laurence has been trying to tell me he should get a child as well. But I'm not sure if I am ready. I kinda want to wait until after our wedding. But Laurence has been trying to sweet talk me into it. He fails every time.

A nurse walks in. “Is this the family for Zane and Travis Ro’Meave?”

“Yes it is” My dad replies.

“I'm glad to have you all here. If you will follow me, Aurora will be out shortly.” We all follow her to their room. See tells us to stay outside the room.

Five minutes later, Travis is rolled out in a wheelchair pushed by the nurse and Zane follows holding a little girl wrapped in a blanket.

“Everyone this is Aurora Jade Ro’Meave.” Zane says in a quiet voice. He then passes the little bundle to Travis and hugs him.

“She is too precious. A real fine job.” My mom was actually calm for once. But so is everyone else.

“The doctor says I can go home in two days, and we have to wait one more day after that before I bring Aurora home.” Travis says looking up from his little girl.

“Those days will go by so fast so you can bring my niece home” I say to him.

“Could I possibly hold her?” Vylad says. Travis looks to Zane and he nods. Vylad walks over and Travis tells him how to hold her.

Vylad is now holding little Aurora Jade. They are so cute, uncle and niece. Dante walked up behind Vylad and took up the “father” role.

“You think our child would be like this?” Vylad asks Dante.

“I don't really care as long as it's healthy and safe.”

“Zane, would you mind if I-” Laurence asked Zane.

“Go for it, just be gentle with her” With that Laurence takes Aurora from Vylad and walks on over to me.

“We could have this in our lives you know” He says to me.

“W-well y-yeah. She is o-our n-niece and all”

“Ok stutter king, that isn't what I meant.”

“I-I know” See what I mean? He has been at it wanting to have a child and I still don't think I'm ready to be a parent.

“Don't pressure the poor man Laurence, it will take work from both of you that you might not be ready for” Travis says chuckling at us.

“And how would you- oh yeah you just gave birth, my bad… Heh” Laurence says. Zane disappeared, but I find him talking with our mom. They both come back to the group and Laurence offered Aurora to my mom. She gladly takes her. Laurence walks back to me and plants a small kiss on my cheek

“I'll wait till you're ready big guy” he whispers to me. I silently thank him.

Travis POV
We can finally bring home Aurora Jade. I'm still forever tired so Zane went by himself to go get her. My baby belly hasn't gone down yet, but the doctor says it takes a few weeks for that to happen.

I hear the door open downstairs. Must be Zane with Aurora. I go downstairs slowly since my body still hurts from Aurora. I look to the front door and it was wide open. I sigh and close the door. Someone then grabs me from behind, I can tell they're not Zane.

“Let go of me!” I say trying to struggle free.

“Heh, you disobeyed me too many times, why should I listen to you?” Dad! Why now of all times?

“I said let go of me!” I can tell my demon side is out, but that doesn't help when my dad was in demon form the whole time. I hear another car pull up to the house, I hope it is and isn't Zane.

“What did I ever do to you? Why are you always so mean to me”

“You are here with a family you should never have had in the first place!” He holds on tighter. I let out a screech of pain. “Heh maybe I should do some more?” He holds me tighter still. I can feel my body cracking under his strength. Lucinda comes in joined by Zane, he must have left Aurora outside. My dad squeezes tighter and the world turns dark.

Ugh my head… I feel so light headed, my ribs seem to be tight. I open my eyes and I'm in my bed. Everything seems to be fuzzy. Zane is off to the side attending to Aurora. I must have made a noise since Zane turns to me.

“Oh Travis! You're finally awake!” He puts Aurora in her travel bed and came over to me. “How are you feeling?”

“I *cough* I'm alright. My chest is a bit tight but I'm good”

“Do you remember what happened at all? You were out for a while” Something happened to me? Is that why my body hurts like it does? I try and sit up but my body screams not to. Zane tries to help me, he can tell I'm I a lot of pain.

“I don't remember if anything happened” Another spike of pain goes through my chest and I remember someone crushing me.

“Your father came by while I was getting Aurora. He was in a demon form and you were as well when I came in with Lucinda. It looked as if he was trying to kill you.” My dad did all that? Yeah he hurt me when I was younger but that was when I didn't do something right. But for him to try and kill me, that's another story.

I really do feel bad for Travis, like come on Terry! You hurt your own son three days after he gave birth to your grandchild! What type of parent does that? Is it a thing that demons do then? Terry can just die in a hole far away and not return for all I care. He is a disgrace to Zanvis kind! I will just go ahead and make a list of deaths. I'll see you all back at the horse ranch, bye!
