Zane POV
I'm so happy Travis woke up. He was asleep for almost two weeks. He doesn't seem to remember much about what happened. I'm kinda thankful for that. It was a rough battle against Terry, that's for sure.

~Flashback~

I just texted Lucinda that Terry is here. I keep hearing Travis's screams of pain, but I want to wait to have Lucinda here with her magic. I messaged my brothers as well about the situation, but said for them to stay back.

Lucinda finally shows up and we go inside. Terry is there holding onto Travis, both are in their demon forms. Terry’s arms were like a snake as he crushes Travis. He finally passes out and Terry drops him onto the floor.

“What did you do to him!?” I yell at Terry. He usually is only a few inches taller than me, but in his demon form he is maybe two feet taller.

“I did what I should have done year ago! He never was my son. And now he is dead.” His words stung my heart. Was Travis really dead? I look to Travis, he did look lifeless just laying on the ground.

“What do you plan to gain from all this?” Lucinda speaks up. “You have done nothing but hurt others with your magic.”

“My gain is more than you could possibly imagine! Even Hyria couldn't stop me from achieving my goal. I was hoping to gather sacrifices on the down low but you two are in my way. And after that, I couldn't use little Aurora for the next stage.”

“You won't touch her!”

“Aha! I already have her where she is needed.” A little red imp comes in from the other room holding Aurora in is arms.

“Why you-” I charge at Terry but his tail pushes me to the side.

“She is in the perfect form, is she not? Your baby girl is still needing to grow but I can start the process now.”

The imp hands the sleeping Aurora to Terry. He carries her a bit making sure she is still asleep. Then he bends down and breaks a piece of Travis's horn. With the horn piece, Terry opens a container and drops it in. It glows purple before Terry turned it into a potion. I try to lash out again, but his tail keeps me back. Terry doesn't turn his gaze from Aurora. He then gives her the potion.

“What are you doing to her!” I yelled

“Her transformation has started. One that everyone could be proud of.” I just realized that Lucinda wasn't where I saw her last. She was off to the side casting a spell.

Terry carries Aurora around, watching her, making sure she was handling the transformation ok. Although, I don't see any physical effects on her, yet.

“Zane! I can only hold the spell for so long. Use it to save your daughter!” I am confused about what Lucinda just said. I feel a surge of energy flow through my body. One I could never even dream of. I see my reflection in a nearby mirror. My clothes changed into those of an olden day priest. My skin was black but my eyes white. I know what she wanted me to do. I stand up and a sword appears in my hand.

“Daddy wants to play?” Terry snears at me.

“This time I will defeat you.” I say calmly. I never held a sword in my life, but I now know how to use it, somehow. I charge at Terry but he dodges.

“Don't want to hurt her now, do you?” He taunts

“She isn't the one I will hurt” I retort

“Let's see about that”

Terry kept a fern hold on Aurora. He is watching me more than her. That tells me that I actually have a chance. That chance won't come from physical strength by itself, I need something more. Something tells me to use magic, but could I actually use it? Doesn't hurt to try. I did something and Aurora disappeared from Terry's arms and is near Lucinda.

“What did you do! Where did you put her?” Terry yelled

“Why not fight me and find out?”

“You asked for it then!” He charges at me, but this time I was the one who dodged. Zane I'll make a dopple ganger and I'll help you. Who are you? You from another world and time. I don't fully trust this person, but I let him anyways since he is the only help I can get.

Another me appeared. He motions for me to continue with physical strength. I do so as the other Zane star attacking with spells.

Terry is now starting to falter a bit and I land a few heavy blows with my sword. The other Zane is a pretty good warlock. He is keeping Terry from attacking at the same time as attacking him.

“How are you both so powerful!” Terry complains as I put my sword to his neck. He is pinned to the floor. I had chopped is tail off and the other Zane paralyzed him.

“We get our power from the fact you hurt my husband. The fact you did something to my daughter. Once you thought your plan was going to work. Now it has fallen apart in your hands.” With that, I cut his head off. The other Zane destroys his physical body and I feel my powered form seep away.

“Zane, I want you to know that Travis will be alright. I was able to bring him back. Now Aurora, just keep an eye on her. That potion will affect her but she will be fine.” The other Zane disappeared and Lucinda collapsed. I forgot that she was using her magic.

I walk over to her and see that she will be alright. I pick up the still sleeping Aurora and move her to a Mir comfortable place than the floor. I move Lucinda to the couch and Travis to our room.

This was one crazy day

~End Flashback~

It is still hard to believe that happened. I'm not going to let Travis know about it all, at least not right away.

“Zane?” Travis's voice brings me back to the present. “Zane you spaced out a bit there”

“I'm fine Travis. Just happy you're okay. I'm going to make some food and you are going to stay here and rest. Alright?”

“Yes mom” Even with everything that has happened, he still keeps up with the sarcasm and that goofy grin of his. Oh how I've missed him smile.

~~~
Hey everyone! I'm so glad Terry is dead. He needed to die. Very interesting indeed on how he died, wasn't even on my list! Before I forget! If you have any questions for the characters, feel free to ask them in the chapter you have them, I won't answer spoiler and I won't let anyone else do so as well. But I will add that question to the end of the next chapter! Or if I have enough I would do a whole Q&A chapter idk. I'll see you all back at the horse ranch, bye!
