The scent of sorrow and sadness filled the air. My parents were getting a divorce and of course... I was in the middle, I was the one who had to choose a side. Either my mothers side, or my fathers. I didn't think my summer would've been this good, it was all because of a 'boy named Nash Grier. My father told me he was moving to North Carolina... at the time I was obsessed with the viner, Nash Grier. He had helped me cope through what ever I was going through, bullying, divorce, teasing, you name it! So it took me a couple of days to think who's side I should choose.
I eventually chose my dad's side because Nash lives in North Carolina, I also wanted to experience new things since I was pretty much born and raised in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. I wanted to experience something new, the fresh air, the cold nights, a glance at the sky.
Thus I was depressed about my parents getting divorced, I knew it was only better for me. I was sick to my stomach when I observed my parents arguing, over money, achohol, and much more. I dearly loved my mother but she drank whine... I'm not saying she is an alcoholic but yeah, she just drank whine and it hurt me so much. It had crushed my heart. My father was fine, now I understand he didn't want me going through my teenage years roughly, I'm 16 turning 17 at the time.
Before I knew it I was already packing, I inhaled my last breath of air in my room... well for a while. I packed some photographs and clothes in my suitcase. I rushed down the stairs into the kitchen, I saw my mother there, she was in tears, sobbing, trying to hide her sadness of me leaving.
"Bye, Jess" My mother said, trying to dry off her tears
I replied "Bye mom, are you okay" I said worried
"Jess, dont worry about me, Ill be fine." As she reached out for a hug
I hugged her back and said "I love you Mom, give me a call if you need to!"
