His hair was of chocolate mahogany,
Like the case of a magnificent piano,
Playing a melody that curled and unfurled,
Like the vines of a tropical flower,
Eyes of a sapphire blue in one light,
and emerald and amber jeweled in another,
Clearer than a sunny day,
Sparkling brighter than any star seen in the sky,
Oh shy guy,
Of warm autumn hair and gemstone colours,
How can you dull, your ever radiant glow?
Try as you may,
You cannot dim the shine of your personality,
Your heart of pure gold,
Encircled by the halo of innocence,
Never truly appreciated,
A magnificent work of art,
A great book waiting to be seen,
To be picked up form the shelf,
To have the bold coloured cover,
Dusted off and read; to be heard; to enlighten,
Yet to immerse the mind and understanding of another,
You are an ever giving soul,
Like the harvest,
The waters that enrich the Earth,
Your light although timid,
Shines through the darkest times,
Helping those who have lost their way,
Who need care and guidance,
I feel truly blessed,
For your light to have shone on me,
Illuminating the possibilities of hope,
Of happiness and joy,
Although the darkness threatens to grab me,
I know your light will shield me,
For each hit you take; you only grow stronger,
You brace against the dark with abbadon of worry,
Although apparent in how oblivious you seem,
My feelings are true,
You are like chocolate,
A great pick up on a bad day,
A soothing sensation I have grown so addicted to,
No matter how daft my problems may be,
You truly demonstrate friendship with your patience,
Understanding, kindness and compliments,
You make even the cloudy, raging stormy days,
Seem the sunniest of all,
Those before who were honoured to be within your glow,
Were fools to not cherish the light they had,
For very few,
Who you ever knew,
Will see how your light is so true,
Unwavering; cleansing,
It blossoms the flower of the hearts it touches,
Makes people give themselves another look,
Because even though it felt like my world was shook,
I was saved by the story of your life's book,
Dear shy guy,
So tentative and sweet,
I would like you to know,
It is you who I am very glad I got to meet,
And since you came along;
No matter what goes wrong,
