Chapter 3 Fighting

Later on the door swung open to Lin's room while Chihiro and Lin were eating. Both girls turned around. Chihiro's eyes widened.

"Haku what do you want can't you see we're talking?" Lin said irritated. Chihiro felt anger burn inside of her remembering what he once promised but never did. Chihiro then from calm looking at Haku she glared at him then turned away.

"Lin can I talk to Chihiro? ALONE" Haku asked. Lin scoffed."Fine, not long though," Lin got up and walked off. Haku went up to where Chihiro was and sat beside her.

"Liar...." Chihiro muttered.

"Chihiro i-" Haku started but Chihiro interrupted glaring at him.

"You used my loss if memory..." Chihiro turned away.

"Chihiro I'm..." Haku stopped. Then it hit Chihiro.

"You were the one who told me more people care about me right?" Chihiro asked.

"Yeah..." Haku sighed answering.

"But not enough power to come talk to me in person?" Chihiro raised her voice a little. Haku sighed.

"You promised! You promised me!!" Chihiro started yelling.

"well! I couldn't! I talked to you back there because I felt you hurt and heard you! I didn't think you'd hear me! I'm not aloud to leave this place! We spirits can't!" Haku snapped back.

"Excuses, excuses!" Chihiro snapped.

"Did you even if think you were gonna keep that promise!? Or was I a girl you pitied!?" Chihiro yelled covering her face. Haku stared at her in amusement.

"I had to return you back you couldn't have stayed.. I never pitied you.." Haku answered looking hurt.

"That's my other old friend said before! And you couldn't have said you couldn't promise me! No! You lied!" Chihiro yelled tearing up.

"Chihiro... If I didn't promise you that then.... You wouldn't have gone back. And I'm not lying," Haku stared at his feet.

"Do you know what I have lived in that dreadful world? I never seemed to feel at home after what happened 7 years ago," Chihiro had tears sliding down her cheek. Haku hurried his face in his knees.

"Chihiro... I'm sorry... I didn't know... But you couldn't have stayed here, it's too dangerous," Haku said. Chihiro was already sobbing.

"In my world.... No one.... Needs me... But my only friend," Chihiro sobbed. Haku wrapped a hand around her and leaned her on his shoulder.

"Chihiro I'm really sorry...." Haku started but Lin interrupted

slamming the door open."You dragon! What did you do this time!" Lin roared glaring at Haku. Haku turned his head to her and what Lin saw surprised her. Haku's face looked completely hurt, lost, afraid and guilty.

"You never really need me right? You just took pity of me," Chihiro said. Haku looked at her hurt. But didn't argue. Haku silently got up and walked toward the door. Lin sat down beside Chihiro. They sat there silently.

"I'm going back tomorrow," Chihiro said finally calming down.

"What? Already?" Lin asked looking sad.

"I need to get back to my friend.... We need each other. Most of all she needs me," Chihiro looked down.

"Tomorrow I'll go say hi to Kamagi and the soot balls and stay there a little then say bye to everyone and head back," Chihiro said. Lin got up.

"Fine, but.." Lin started.

"First tell me why were you crying so much," Lin said Chihiro knowing that's not the only condition.

"Haku never kept his promise, he pitied me the entire time... But me... I fell in love with him and no one else ever, I never fit in after I visited here, I felt something missing," Chihiro answered. Lin stared at me as if knowing Chihiro hasn't said everything.

"That's all?" Lin asked.

"I don't know," Chihiro hurried her face in her knees. After a while they went to bed. The next morning when the girls woke up everyone went to do their job and Chihiro went to see Kamaji.

"KAMAJI!" Chihiro yelled opening the door.

"Human? What are you doing here?" Kamaji sounded angry.

"Awehh come on don't tell me you don't remember your granddaughter?" Chihiro smirked.

"I don't have any gran-- Sen?" Kamaji turned around.

"Yup but my real name is Chihiro," Chihiro smiled.

"SEN! YOUR BACK! ahem. I mean Chihiro your back! " Kamaji smiled giving Chihiro a big hug and the soot balls bounced up and down. Chihiro talked to Kamaji for a while then the door opened but it wasn't Lin. It was Haku.

"Chihiro..." Haku stared at Chihiro. Chihiro got up.

"Kamaji I think I'm going to go now, I might not see you again..." Chihiro trailed off.

"Aw. Okay bye Chihiro!" Kamaji waved. Before Chihiro could get away Haku gripped Chihiro's arm. Chihiro turned around.

"Let go Haku!" Chihiro yelled trying to get free. At that moment Chihiro was finally able to see how Haku changed. His hair was shorter and he had gotten taller. He was definitely taller then Chihiro.

"Not even planning to do that," Haku answered. Pulling Chihiro, Haku walked out through the door he came through.

"What do you want?" Chihiro asked coldly. Haku heard her voice and his heart sank. 

"Chihiro Ogino, I never pitied you nor will I ever. I am very sorry for not keeping my promise I know I'm not the best at apologizing but..." Haku sighed. Chihiro was quite looking at him talking once he called Chihiro by her full name.

"But... I never forgot you, one of the reasons I didn't come to see you because I was scared you wouldn't remember me, Chihiro I thought about you every day I missed you I love you Chihiro," Haku was caught off guard and accidentally said his feelings. Chihiro froze. Haku stared at Chihiro and Chihiro stared back at Haku. Haku turned away his cheeks slightly turning red. Haku let go of her hand finally.

"you said you needed to go somewhere, sorry I wasted your time with my confession," Haku didn't dare look in to her eyes. Slowly in Chihiro's eyes formed tears.

"Haku..... I've only dreamed of you ever saying that to me...." Chihiro had tears rolling down her cheek. Haku turned his face toward hers.

"I love you too Haku. I'm sorry I never doubted your feelings to me.." Chihiro still had tears rolling down her cheeks. She then closed her eyes and felt a warm hand touch her cheek. Slowly she felt the warm hand travel down her cheek to her chin and he raised her chin up. Chihiro opened her eyes. Haku leaned towards her. Chihiro closed her eyes. She felt his lips touch hers softly. She felt her body relax as the kiss turned passionate.
