Chapter 4 Human World

Haku then let go. Chihiro relaxed backing away an inch. Both stood an inch away from each other in the dead silence.

"Haku... So... You can't go to the human world....?" Chihiro asked finally breaking the silence between them.

"Well... If you really want me to come with you back... I guess I can ask.." Haku answered hoping she wouldn't start tue fight again. Chihiro gave a small smile.

"Please ask... I can't go home, but I have a friend who needs me.." Chihiro lowered her head. Haku put a hand on her shoulder. Chihiro looked up.

"Stay here I'll go ask Yubaba," Haku smiled gently. Chihiro nodded and sat down against a wall.

After a few minutes Haku came back.

"I can go. But not for long," Haku smiled kneeing beside Chihiro. Chihiro smiled looking up.

"How long?" Chihiro asked tilting her head. Haku looked up thoughtfully.

"Maximum a week I guess in your world," Haku answered thinking that over. Chihiro nodded. Getting up heading off.

"Let's go, I'll meet you with my friend, oh when you said that thing, she also heard," Chihiro smiled turning around.

"Heh.... She did?.." Haku rubbed the back of his head before realizing Chihiro was way ahead of him.

"HEY! Chihiro wait up!" Haku ran after her catching up.

They got to the tunnel and stopped and Chihiro turned around realizing Haku was breathless.

"How fast do you run?" Haku asked catching his breath laughing. Chihiro smiled and shrugged.

"I guess that was the results from gym at my school, we had to run many laps, and it was a race time to time." Chihiro smiled answering.

"Let's go?" Chihiro asked. Haku nodded.

"Yup!" Haku ran ahead of her this time.

"HEY!" Chihiro yelled catching up. As soon as they were out Haku was clueless where to go. Haku looked around curiously feeling completely lost. He then heard a small laugh behind him and he turned around. Giving Chihiro a small nervous smile.

"So do you mind telling me where we are and where we going?" Haku asked.

"This is a forest down the road is where we're going, just don't wander off this place just lime spirits dont have very nice people." Chihiro said first smiling then frowned.

"More like barely any kind people," Chihiro sighed adding on.

"Oh... Well them lead me, I'll follow you, just not to fast so I don't get lost," Haku said.

"Hahaha okay!" Chihiro smiled grabbing his shirt and pulling him with her. Soon they were out of the forest and were now heading to Chihiro's house. She grabbed her phone out of her pocket.

"What's that?" Haku pointed to Chihiro's phone.

"Its a phone, to contact people with, like Yubaba's but different," Chihiro answered dialing Miku.

"Hello?" The phone answered.

"Hey Miku! Hey I'm heading home, but I brought someone with me," Chihiro answered brightly.

"Huh? Who!! Tell me!" Miku shouted excitingly.

"You'll find out soon enough I'm almost home," Chihiro answered hanging up. Miku hanged up too.

"Oh so basically the same thing?" Haku asked.

"Well yeah but it has more I'll show you some other time." Chihiro smiled sweetly.

"Alright!" Haku answered. They both headed to Chihiro's house. She got her keys out and unlocked the door. Chihiro peeked in. She opened the door wider and came in inviting Haku. Chihiro put her finger over her lips. Haku nodded. Both took of their shoes quietly. Chihiro sneaked in to the kitchen. No one was there. She quickly quietly went upstairs. She saw no one nor heard. Then she texted her friend. Then called. She heard her phone ringing and went after the sound. It was on Chihiro's bed and beside was a note. Haku followed Chihiro upstairs. Chihiro hung up and grabbed the note.

"Something wrong?" Haku asked nervously. Chihiro looked behind her.

"No nothing my friend decided to scare me," Chihiro laughed.

Haku tiled his head I'm confusion.

"She left her phone at home and wrote in here she went to the store for some food," Chihiro smiled.

"Can I borrow that note for a sec?" Haku asked. Chihiro nodded handing him the note. He sniffed the paper.

"Strange..." Haku murmured.

"What's wrong?" Chihiro asked nervously.

"I smell a 3rd persons smell," Haku sniffed the air again.

"Does it smell like, flowers and bananas with cucumber?" Chihiro asked nervously.

"Yeah.. It does..." Haku answered quickly looking at the frozen Chihiro. Chihiro looked down and started shaking

"That's the smell of... Azami's perfume..." Chihiro shaked.

"Whose Azami?" Haku asked confused. Chihiro had tears form in her eyes.

"She was the one... Who made me think that thing... She was never my real friend. She took pity on me, when I came to visit I heard her talking on the phone about me and making fun of me...." Chihiro had tears rolling down her cheek while talking. Haku came close to her and gave her a small hug.

"Its okay.. Calm down you'll ask Miku about that, that's her name right?" Haku said. Chihiro nodded wiping away her tears. She then heard the front door bang open. Chihiro quickly sat up. She wiped away her tears.

"Stay here I'll he right back," Chihiro said trying to look happy. Haku nodded. Chihiro closed the door behind her. At the front door she saw..

Who do you think it was? was it Azami? was it Miku? or was it someone else?
