I thought I did
but when you came I proved that
I really didn't .
Anything you do I find it in my heart to

Davon...

I woke up bright and early to schedule an appointment with a marriage counselor. The earliest they could get us in was 2:30pm and we had to be right on time. This counselor was supposed to be one of the best, but as expensive as he was, he better be.

I tried to make breakfast for Kennedy and I before she woke up, but I didn't do to well with that, so I decided to just go to the McDonald's drive through. Kennedy and I always order the egg and sausage Mcmuffin. We had drinks at home, but I still decided to get a coffee for myself and a mocha for Kennedy. Then, back home I sped, so that I could wake Kennedy up in time for our meeting.

I didn't get much sleep. I may have acted as if Davon hadn't hurt me, but that's probably because I didn't have the energy to be upset fully. By the time I got up Davon was just walking in the door noisily. I sighed and slid my feet across the wooden floor into the tiled kitchen.

"Hey baby." He greeted cheerfully.

" 'Sup." I croaked before slumping into the stool and holding my head. Attack of the liquor round two..

"Headache still?"

"Uh huh."

"What'd you do yesterday.."

"Just went out to eat with Tera.. that's all." I groaned.

"Drink this, it should help.." Davon sighed while sliding a clear beige cup towards me with the McDonalds logo.

He sat across from me while pulling out Mcmuffins and sliding me one. I was surprisingly starving. I couldn't wait to dig in.

"So Kennedy.."

"Huh?" I mumbled while unraveling my sandwich.

"I called a marriage counselor and got us an appointment today in half a hour."

"We're not married.." I barked.

"We pretty much are. Plus I feel like shit , please Kennedy, just come on.."

"I guess." I sighed before biting into my delectable muffin.

"Okay." Davon mumbled and started to open his own Mcmuffin.

Two o'clock came in no time at all. Kennedy and I got dressed and packed. As much as I wanted to jack Kennedy up for acting like such a child the entire ride, I tried my best to bare with her. By the time we pulled into the Lost Love Counseling Center parking lot, she had huffed and puffed about fourteen times. When she got out of the Hummer, she made sure she slammed the door with all of her might.

"Chill, K." I mumbled while walking to her side.

"Kay, whatever." She replied with the biggest attitude in her tone.

"Head still hurt?"

"Mhmm.."

I didn't bother testing her anymore, so I stayed silent until we made it to the front desk. The entire room design was fancy and cozy. Wooden furniture and glass everywhere. The workers all wore something different, but they still looked put together.

"Hello, welcome to Lost Love. How can I help you?" A white man who had extraordinary posture greeted us.

"We have an appointed with Dr. Loud." I spoke up.
