chapter three;
wait
carrison losst
the rest of the day dragged on, as usual, but with time seventh hour came, and so did the last bell of the day. luckily for me i was able to avoid anyone who pissed me off for the rest of the day, but that didn't change who happened to be my neighbor. not that i had a problem with him, but i had a problem with his friends. well, only one friend in particular, the same one he had over every day.
on my way home i stopped by a convenient store for a new lighter, fortunately, the clerk didn't ask why a sixteen-year-old girl would need a lighter for. it wasn't anything new after all. soon enough i made it home, only a few minutes before sadie showed up. sadie's sixteen like me, and surprisingly her parents had the money to buy her a car, me, on the other hand, my mother didn't give a shit about my well being, and the feeling was fairly mutual. my mother has never acted like a mom, she's always high, drunk, or hungover. i guess my mother's bad habits had gotten me into the life i'm living.
"where's the pot?" sadie asked me almost the second she walked in the door. i wasn't surprised she'd probably had a shitty day like me. it wasn't anything we weren't used to, four nights of the week we'd go over to one of the girls house's to get high, except for millie's; her parents are incredibly strict. sadie's parents weren't ever home; they were normally on business trips.
"it's in my room. where's millie?" normally millie and sadie would arrive together, but sophia was always late. i didn't bother inviting sophia over this time because she had a soccer game. she was the only one that played sports out of all of us, i used to be on the girls' junior varsity volleyball team, but i got kicked off when a girl snitched on me for smoking weed in the parking lot with finn during lunch. i was suspended for the season, and now i have to wait until this spring to try out again. no offense, but the girls' junior varsity volleyball team is pretty shit.
"her parents wanted her to finish her homework before she got here." sadie answered bluntly. millie's younger than all of us. she's only fifteen, which makes her a freshman, and with her transferring from the united kingdom her parents wanted her to be perfect. it's a shame we claimed her. by we i mean my friend group, the bad kids. i was often labeled as the 'badass' of the school. only because i didn't take shit from anyone, and no one got in my way- except for wyatt of course. i found his confidence intriguing, but it mainly made me want to actually stab him and then watch him bleed out. but that sounds a bit insane.
"when's she gonna get here?" i asked briskly. it's not like i would start without her, but that didn't mean i wanted to wait for her. the sooner i got high the better, and if she wasn't there soon i would start without her.
"she just said it wouldn't take her long and don't start without her." she answered impatiently. i nodded my head in response. if i knew anyone who liked to take their time, it'd be millie. anytime she'd tell you she'd be there in an hour that usually meant two.
after another half hour of waiting millie still hadn't arrived, and sadie and i were growing more impatient by the minute. sadie muttered a simple "i'm calling her." before pulling out her phone and poked at the screen. after a few seconds, she brought the phone up to her ear and began to pace back and forth, something we both shared.
"what the hell is taking so long?" she snapped impatiently into the phone. you could barely hear the murmurs coming from the phone. sadie stopped pacing and huffed. i shot her a confused look. "why didn't you call?!" she yelled into the phone. i jumped a bit at her sudden outburst. sadie took the phone from her ear and hung up harshly.
"what is it?" i questioned, desperate to know why she was so angry. she shook her head in a frustrated manner. "we have to go get her, she said her parents don't want to drive her, and they don't want her to walk." she explained running a hand through her long red locks. i sighed and picked up my keys off of the small worn out table that sat beside the door. my mother wasn't home at the moment, working probably, but by working i mean prostituting herself.
once sadie had put her shoes back on, which she kicked off the minute she got in the door, we left, on our way to millie's.

here's another shitty and short chapter.
can i just say, that all the people calling jack out, and saying he's trash and like ranting about how he's such a horrible person, they need to stop. we don't know if those messages were real, and in case you guys hadn't noticed, people can fake crying. it's not that hard. hell, i do it all the time at school to get myself out of trouble. my point is talia obviously is looking for people to get mad at him and attack him, but he's only a kid. i'm not taking sides i promise. but this is cyberbullying, me having personal experience with bullying, it does cause suicidal thoughts. and for all we know jack could get to the point where he snaps and actually commits, and yeah he probably won't, but he could. cyberbullying is illegal for a reason.
thanks for listening(reading).
