chapter five;
shared blunts
wyatt oleff
i looked carrison up and down; not checking her out of course. she was wearing the same clothes she wore at school, the same white windbreaker, the same ripped jeans, and the same breaking benjamin shirt she always wore. what even is breaking benjamin?
"what's this? are you checking me out, oleff?" carrison spoke teasingly. i rolled my eyes harshly as a sly smirk tugged at the corner of her lips.
"oh wouldn't you like that carousel?" i mocked her with the nickname she despised. "why are you here? had to make your unhealthy habits public; didn't you?" she glared at me.
"stop being an ass." sadie stepped in, a scowl present on her pale face.
"so why are you guys here?" jack asked trying his very best to not sound the least bit rude, blushing slightly in the process. i cocked an eyebrow at carrison as i waited for her most likely invalid excuse.
"well millie, sadie, and i came here to smoke, after all this a public park. right oleff?" she answered smugly using my last name once again. i rolled my eyes at her self-satisfied smirk.
"of course it's a public park. it would be a shame if the police found out you were smoking weed, especially since you aren't of age." i replied feeling superior to the fuming blonde in front of me. she smirk again.
"as we discussed this morning oleff, you don't scare me." carrison retorted gleefully before pulling out a bag of marijuana and rolling paper. "you gonna join us boys?" she asked.
"hell yeah." jack answered joyfully. i rolled my eyes. of course, i wanted to, but i didn't want to put up with carrison.
"uh yeah, sure." jaeden said unsurely. he wasn't afraid to smoke, but he strictly came to the park to play basketball. it's almost as if it's the only thing he cares for.
"what about you?" millie asked, her british accent clear and soft. i shrugged uncertainly. as the others began to walk toward the large gazebo. millie dragged me along with them to the tree next to the gazebo. sadie climbed up onto the roof of the gazebo first, followed by carrison, then millie all being careful and quick with each step. then the guys made their way up-not so carefully, jack almost falling in the process earning many laughs. i grabbed onto the first limb and pulled myself to the next.
soon i joined everyone else on top of the gazebo, sadie already rolling a blunt and passing it to jaeden. i waited patiently as she passed one to me. "we all have to share. i'm sharing with jaeden, why don't you and wyatt share?" sadie suggested to carrison slyly.
"no thanks. i'll share with jack." carrison replied. sadie sighed, it was obvious she wanted us to share just so we would get closer, but that wasn't going to happen. ever.
"you can't me and jack are sharing." millie stepped in with a smirk. i groaned, of course, they'd do that just to get a rise from me, and carrison being herself would love to see me mad, it probably even arouses her.
"i fucking hate you all." carrison rolled her blue eyes. yes, i did think she was pretty, gorgeous even, but her attitude and bad habits took away from that. i'd always thought she was beautiful and was wasting her life away, but after having a few 'conversations' with her, i now see that she a total, and complete bitch. just thinking about her attitude, and the way it compares to her looks, i caught myself staring, and carrison did too, of course confronting me. "are you staring at me oleff?" she stated with fake enthusiasm, "oh i am very flattered!"
sadie ignored us, rolling the last blunt, and handing it to carrison who took the lighter being passed around. she brought the flame to her lips were the blunt was placed. she took a long slow drag before passing it to me. i took it hesitantly. yes, i had smoked weed before, it's just that i never did it often, i didn't want it to become a habit like it had for carrison.
i took a slow hesitant puff. i was nervous, i knew she was watching me, judging me, with every movement. i didn't want to seem scared or nervous in her eyes. i didn't want to seem weak- not that i cared about her opinion.
i passed the thin blunt back to her and thought over our encounter earlier today. first carrison skipped advisory, and when she came back, she had hickeys on her neck, but why? and who were they from? just the thought of someone's lips on her neck made my stomach turn in a faintly, but i couldn't name why.
"so, let's do something stupid." millie exclaimed unexpectedly pulling me out of my frustrated thoughts. i sighed and scooted closer so i could hear her clearly.
"like what?" jaeden spoke up curiously. carrison's head perked up at the sound of talking. sadie and jack broke from their conversation and gave their full attention to millie. i waited for her to explain what she meant by 'something stupid', considering what we were doing was already very stupid. i mean smoking weed on the roof of a gazebo in the middle of a public park. how could our actions get any stupider?
"i was thinking we either play truth or dare or spin the bottle." millie suggested in her sweet british accent. i shook my head. there was no way i was playing such a game with carrison present. one, she could learn something embarrassing about me and use it against me, or two i would have to kiss her if i was just that unfortunate.
"there's no way i'm playing a child's game with you people." i scoffed at her ridiculous request. carrison snickered slightly, causing a small smile to form on my face, but i quickly hid it.
"well i'm in." sadie spoke up. i rolled my eyes, of course, she would.
"well since wyatt is just so against playing the game, let's just take a vote." carrison spoke with a smirk, "all in favor of playing raise your hand." and of course everyone raised their hands. i groaned audibly and laid back on the slightly slanted roof of the gazebo.
"i wanna play spin the bottle." sadie announced, most agreeing.
"spin the bottle it is." carrison teased sending a smirk my way.
