";It was many and many a year ago,
In a kingdom by the sea,
That a maiden there lived
by the name Annabel Lee
And this maiden she lived with no other thought
Than to love and be loved by me."
My name is Annabel Lee, just like the girl Edgar Allen Poe was talking about in his famous poem. Infact, my parents named me after this poem just because they thought it spoke of the love that they share. They believe it to be true love. Im not so sure about that anymore.
I had grown up with this poem. As soon as I could read, it was stuck in my young little head. Still is, even at sixteen. Even then, I had never understood the last sentence of this stanza, 'Than to love and be loved by me.' I knew it spoke of love, but I had never felt it.
That was until I met him. He helped me understand. I had found it; me love, my heart, my other half. And it was magnificent. It looked like I would spend forever with him, but then the storm rolled in.
