Opposite of what he had felt yesterday, Richie now wanted the job at the daycare more than ever. He wanted to get to know the cute boy with the doe-eyes and the sparkling, cheerful personality. He was the only thing on Richie's mind for the rest of the day, who was trying harshly not to drool. 

Each time he checked his e-mail he was disappointed with only new videos from his favourite YouTube channels and news from Pandora and Spotify. 

One Wednesday, Richie was repeatedly clicking the 'refresh' button on his e-mail account, a bowl of Doritos in front of him as he desperately checked through all of his inboxes. 

He sighed, pushing away his computer as it paused in the middle of reloading for what felt like the three hundred and ninety-fourth time that day. Closing his eyes, Richie stuffed another Dorito into his mouth. The taste was starting to get boring, as he had refilled his bowl at least three times in the span of forty minutes, letting it overflow before folding the bag back up. 

Richie squinted his eyes at the screen, afraid he would see the hypnotising loading sign or an empty inbox again. Instead, he was joyfully surprised when he saw the familiar blue dot next to 'newest'. He threw his chest onto the table, leaning in so close that his nose was only a few inches from the screen. 

He quickly pressed the box, crossing his fingers while biting his tongue.

Subject: Daycare 

Hey, Tozier! It's Bev from that daycare thingy. So, you got accepted! Boss saw some potential in you from the form, so you're due on Saturday [, 9:30 ] for the first day. I heavily recommend bringing a change of clothes or two and some hand sanitizer, things can get a bit messy. Eddie's going to be guiding you through the whole program the first two weeks, so be nice to him!!! He's my best friend, so I'll kill you if I hear any bad news. 

Just kidding. Maybe. 

- Bev, Seeya Sat! 

Richie's grin filled his whole face, his eyes sparkling in the light coming from his e-mail. 

Yes! Yes yes yes yes yes yes yes! 

Not only did he get the job, but he had two whole weeks to get to know Eddie! Not even two weeks, the whole time he worked there! The only problem was the wait. It was currently Wednesday, and his first day to work at the Preschool was Saturday. 

Richie groaned dramatically, falling back onto his chair with his curls draping off of the edge. Looking back at the letter, he noticed a link that he hadn't seen it before. 

Richie clicked on it, curious. A 'new mail' page popped up. His eyes wandered up to the 'send to' section. 

Richie almost laughed out loud from glee, his smile stretched so wide it hurt his cheeks.

Hoping this was the Eddie he was searching for, Richie quickly typed up a quick hello, who he was, and that he had gotten the e-mail from Bev. His fingers lingered over the mouse for a second, reading over his probably-cringey message and wondering whether or not to send it to the perfect boy. 

Going against all odds, he pressed the 'send' button. 

TO: EddieKaspbraking 

FROM: RTGangster 

SUBJECT: umm, hello :) 

Hi Eddie, this is Richie from the Daycare. Sorry if this seems random, Bev gave me your e-mail address. So, I just wanted to let ya know that I got the job! Your Boss apparently saw 'potential' in me, so I'm accepted! Yay! 
Bev told me that you were going to be helping me out 'round the place for my first two weeks there. P cool, huh? 
Uh, you don't have to answer me back if you think this is weird, sorry. 

- that random kid Richie 

Not twenty minutes of reloading his page again later, Richie's inbox, once again, had a new blue dot next to it. Clicking on the notification eagerly, his face heated up as he saw that the message was a response from Eddie. 

TO: RTGangster 

FROM: EddieKaspbraking 

SUBJECT: coooool!!!! 

Hey Richie, if i can call you that, it's Eddie! I'm so happy that you got the job! I'm so sorry that we didn't get any time to talk when we met at Sunshine's, but you seem pretty cool! I'd love to hang out more, if that's okay with you. 
So, you said I was going to be helping you out for two weeks? Pretty good deal, if i do say so myself. I've been needing some new friends XD 
I'm a little bit busy right now, because I'm trying to schedule the lunch pattern for next week, so, unfortunately, I'm gonna have to go. You can e-mail me later, maybe around 2:30? I should be done by then, so we can get to know each other better! 

- Eddie :] 

Richie let out an exhale of relief, his heart beating starting to slow down. Eddie didn't think he was weird! Woo-hoo! Yippedy-doo-dah! Yay! Great! Fantastic! 

Shaking his head at his own stupidity, Richie closed the e-mail tab, leaning back onto his chair with a short exhale. He was finally going to be able to get to know better. And, though it sounded stupid, despite the fact they had just met, Richie already felt a small connection growing in between him and the other boy. It was as if they had known each other for years, just two gossiping High School kids, with small jobs and even smaller tips. 

But, of course, they'd only known each other for about the span of one or two days. 

And that wasn't good enough for Richie. He was determined to become Eddie's new best friend, because, by the way that things looked, the spot was currently taken by Beverly. 

Well, not for long. 

Richie closed his laptop cover, walking over to his room and throwing open his closet doors. He had to pick out the perfect outfit for his first day at the new job. As soon as the thought crossed his mind, he laughed to himself, thinking of how girly it sounded. 

It was as if he was a seventh grade girl, standing in front of a massive pile of clothes, throwing each one behind his shoulder, thinking it wasn't good enough, feeling the need to dress good. Not only to impress the teachers, but also to impress the boys.

But happy V's day! i honestly love my mom sm, she surprised me w a ST pillow, ST shirt, and a HP shirt. <<33 

Also, should i publish an 'aesthetic/calming songs' book? it sounds dumb but if u want it i'll post it. 

Aaaaand, please answer the question that was in the beginning of the chapter! i honestly think it's really cute and that it would be a good idea for the story, but I'm not going to do it of you don't want it.
