Chapter 34

Shauna's POV

After school we don't have cheer practice so I walk home. We don't live very far. I hear a honk and them someone shouts my name.

"Hey Shauna! Do you need a ride?" Colby asks. Oh my god he is so cute. I start blushing as soon as he says my name.

"Umm sure thanks!!" I say. He parks on the side of the street and hops out of his car.

"Here, let me help you," he says while taking my 60000 pound bag. Our hands touch and it sends a rush through my body. He puts it in his car and flashes his million dollar smile.

"Thanks Colby, this is really nice," I say.

"No problem," he says while opening the car door for me. I eye him and smile.

"What a gentleman," I say in a wierd British accent.

"I try," he replies and we both get in his car. He starts driving. There is a really awkward silence and I don't like it.

"So, would you mind telling me where you live?" Colby says sheepishly.

"Oh yeah, my neighborhood is called Divergent, and I live on 4610 Candor Drive," I say. He chuckles a little.

"Are you serious? I love in Divergent too! That is awesome," he says. I smile back.

"Yeah, it sure is,"

Wow Zeke is sure going to be happy about that. We get to my house and Colby gets out of his car and quickly runs around it and opens the door. He gets my bag and takes it in.

"Thank you so much," I say. Colby is staring at me.

"You're beautiful, Shauna," he says. I blush like a tomato.

"Wow, thank you," I say thoughtfully.

"Well, see you tomorrow," Colby says and kisses my cheek. I am about to fall over but I manage to wave him goodbye. He smiles and waves back. I close the door and run up to my room. Oh my GOD!! Am I in a simulation? Is this real?!!

I get my phone out. Who should I text. Christina, no. She would freak. Lynn, no. She would bash his face. I decide to text Tris and Mar. They're both the most understanding, and I know they won't tell.

I smile and turn off my phone. I finish my stupid science homework. It's a lab report for the frog dissection. That was the most disgusting thing ever. Ughh. By the time I finish my report it's eleven o'clock. It took a long time and I'm a procrastinator. And then it hits me. I'm cheating on Zeke!! Wait. Am I? I mean, he kissed me, right? Oh my god I don't know.

I turn on my Mac and get on Netflix. I watch an episode of The Walking Dead and fall asleep thinking about Colby.
