Chapter 17

Dean and I woke up early, we checked out of the hotel since today is the last day that we're on Oahu and finishing our mission. We went to the pineapple plantation for a little bit. After the pineapple plantation we went to liliha bakery I brought some desserts before going to the mall and brought some things I had to buy a suit case because everything that I had wasn't going to fit in my duffle bag but whatever I brought all my food went in the suitcase. We went to pick up Manapuas. I brought a few more things before I was officially done with my shopping.

It was already 7 p.m. and I wanted to go eat at one more restaurant before we captured Charlie. Dean already made arrangements for a private plane to come pick us up. We went to Noi's and ate dinner, the food there was amazing but it was pretty pricey. We started to track down Charlie and followed him home. I jumped in the back seat and changed into black jeans, black heeled boots, a black tank top and threw on a black leather jacket. I loaded my gun just in case and pulled a ski mask up to my nose so that my facial features weren't recognizable. I threw my hair into a pony tail. Dean would come in from the back door and wait until he could grab Charlie. 

I looked at Dean and nodded I walked up to the front porch the railings gave me a boost to grab the rood gutter and I could pull myself up when I got on the roof I started looking through the second floor window to see if any of the windows were unlocked or at least cracked open just a little bit. Eventually I found one and I slowly lifted the window up before climbing in. I heard Charlie in another room and then I heard water running which meant he was taking a shower I unlocked the back door and the front door in case Dean forgets. A few minutes later there was silence and I heard Charlie come out of the bathroom. I went back upstairs and hid in the same room that I came into. I heard Charlie walk past the room I was in and he went downstairs.

I followed and saw Dean by the back door waiting I nodded and quietly descended the steps when I made it down I made my way over to Charlie. I would glance at Dean every now and then to make sure that I was ok. I took my gun out and held it to the back of Charlie's head.

"Who are you?"

"Shut up and put your hands up" I said Charlie did what I asked and put up his hands.

"Good, now walk to the back door" I demanded Charlie started walking and I made sure Dean was ready to knock him out and that he wasn't seen. When we got to the back door with my gun still pointing at Charlie, "Turn around" I demanded once again Charlie obeyed and turned only seeing my eyes before he could ask me anything Dean opened the door and placed a cloth over his nose and in a few minutes Charlie was knocked out. Dean called Hector and told him that our job was done.

A private jet was sent out to come pick us up and when it did we loaded Charlie into the plane before boarding ourselves. When we got back to the airport Eric was waiting for me I smiled and ran over to him hugging him he leaned down and captured my lips in his own but that moment was interrupted when Dean cleared his throat, "Hi I'm Dean Sheri's partner"

"Eric, thank you for taking care of her and keeping her safe" Eric said wrapping an arm around my shoulders and tucking me into his side

Dean nodded, "No problem"

"Well Dean I'll see you tomorrow?" I asked

"Yeah"

"Good" I said before Eric and I walked away. I went to my car and Eric went in his we left the airport and went to the compound. As soon as I walked through the door Damon scooped me up in his arms, "Glad to see you still alive" he said before placing me on my feet I smiled and punched his shoulder.

"Glad to see your happy" I said

"I brought back some food with me" I said opening my suitcase. The Damon helped put it away and made room in the fridge. Eric took my bags upstairs and I sat down on the couch after a long day.

"I'm exhausted" I mumbled I grabbed the blanket that was hanging on the couch and threw it over me instantly falling asleep. I heard Damon sigh before picking me up and carrying me to my room. Eric must've been in my room still because I felt myself in his arms I heard them talk for a bit before the door was closed and I was placed under the covers on my bed. 

"Sheri"

"Mom? Dad?"

"Sheri, take care of Terrance for us please" my mom said placing her hand on my cheek

"You've become an amazing young women Sheri, your mother and I are proud" my dad said then they started to walk backwards again

"Wait Mom, Dad don't go. I don't know what to do anymore"

"Sheri you know what to do" my mom said with a smile on her face

"No, no I don't" I screamed with tears running down my face I started to chase after them and then they stopped holding their arms out to me I reached out to their embrace and when I got to them they were tied up on chairs I tried to move but I was chained to the wall and I watched them die in front of me all over again.

"Sheri"

"Sheri" someone was shaking me harshly until I opened my eyes and realized that I was screaming I sat up in bed with tears running down my face. Eric wrapped his arms around me I cried into his chest. I was covered in sweat but Eric kissed my head anyways he moved some strands of my hair away from my face and rubbed my back. Damon bust open the door and looked at the state I was in, "What happened?" he asked Eric

"She had a nightmare" he said Damon sighed and ran a hand through his hair. 

"Sheri" Damon said and I lifted my head up at the tone that he used he motioned me to follow him I got out of Eric's arms and followed Damon. We sat down in the kitchen he made some hot chocolate before placing it in front of me, "When did these start?" he asked

"They've just started the first one was 2 days ago tonight's one was the second one" I said before taking a sip of my hot chocolate

"What was it about?" 

I ran a hand through my hair and looked at him, "I watched my parents get murdered in front of me and every time I try to get to them I'm chained to a wall" I explained it was silent between Damon and I until I broke it, "Damon I need to kill the guy that murdered my parents" I said without looking at him I waited a few minutes until I looked up at him he ran a hand through his hair and stood up. I stayed seated in my seat not saying anything he turned towards me and grabbed me from my seat before embracing me.

"Be careful and be safe" he murmured I wrapped my arms around his waist and buried my face in his chest, "I will" I whispered

"I'm going to get my brother back too you think it'll be ok if he stays with us?" I asked

"I'll talk to James about it see if it's ok" he said I nodded and held him a little longer.

"You should go back to sleep, you have a lot of work to catch up on and you have school tomorrow" Damon said placing a hand on my head

I chuckled, "Since when did you become my dad?" he chuckled and ruffled my hair, "Go back to sleep" he said 

"Night Damon"

"Night Sheri" he said before I went upstairs and into my room. Eric was waiting for me, "Sorry I woke you and kept you waiting but you could've went back to sleep" I told him as soon as I got into bed he pulled me to him and didn't say anything. I fell asleep in Eric's arms with no nightmares coming back to me.
