Chapter 8: Distant Relatives
"Sometimes the dead don't like staying that way."(Narrator)
Looking to where Narrator was sitting I see that it is gone. Why does everyone just disappear on me? The dead don't like staying that way huh? If I take that as a warning....... I'm going to fight zombies aren't I? Creating a blood rope, I use it to swing down to the floor of the arena. Once I got there I pulled out my phone and started calling mom while I made my way out.
"Hello, boss? You called and texted. Sorry I didn't pick up. My phone was on mute."(Star)
'loud gunshots in the background' "Oh thank one of the gods your ok! Where are you right now?"(Suzi)
"I'm leaving the arena. Starting to walk to the hotel right now actually."(Star)
'Loud gunshots and explosions. In the background' "Stop! Don't come to the hotel. It is..... Pass me the shotgun! 'Bang'.......... It's too dangerous here."(Suzi)
"What's happening over there?"(Star)
'Gun shots' 'crumbling sounds, and explosions in the background' "Nothing I can't handle... Grenade!... 'Booooom'.....I need you to listen to me when I tell you that you can't come to the hotel for a while."(Suzi)
"That's fine and all but, where should I go?"(Star)
'Gun shots and incoherent screaming in the background' "Head to the far west of the city. When you get there, you will come across a large cemetery. In the cemetery there is a large stone tower that houses the three cruelest Underworld spirits. That tower is the home of my brother and a good friend of mine.......my god......"(Suzi)
"What is it?"(Star)
'Gun shots' "They have a dragon. Things just got more complicated. Keep firing you cowardly bastards! We need to......." 'Swoooom' 'Beep' (Suzi)
I so hope she doesn't die there. Looking towards the west, I wander around the surprisingly active city till I found the cemetery. This city has some amazing night activities. Casinos, shopping malls, barely dressed, handsome men who are trying to get people to enter their brothels, slave markets and much, much more. I need to spend a night wandering around here at some point. Reaching the cemetery after a couple hours of traveling, I finally reach my destination. Looking around, I see a fairly conventional cemetery that is relatively small in size. Only a few square miles worth of space surrounded by a large chain link fence. Seeing the only tower in the area, I started walking toward it. When my foot stepped into the area that was considered the cemetery, everything changed. Everything around me suddenly became covered in a low hanging fog and the area around the tower seemed to spread endlessly. The stone tower also stretched a lot higher up. It went way past the clouds. I continue my walk toward the stone tower with only minor goosebumps. When I reached the front entrance, I knocked on the steel door. A few minutes later a green haired, red eyed Lamia opened the door. She has silver metallic skin and a pair of assets that are only slightly larger than my own. From the top of her head to the tip of her tail, she was at least five meters long. She had no scales but, instead looked to be made of weaponry. Her tail was mostly made of swords, spears, and whips, while along her arms and part of her face and back had flat metal bits or small daggers. They are all a dark gray color. The small lines that are usually representing the gap between scales on a snake are faintly glowing orange, giving her a machine girl type of vibe.
'Yawn' "Hi Star. It's been a while. What brings you here?"(???)
"How do you know my name?"(Star)
"We've met multiple times before remember? You feeling ok?"(???)
"Sorry to say this but, this is the first time we've ever met."(Star)
