The Pit bull terrier is a companion and family pet. They got the name Pit bull because they were bred to "bait" bulls and bears. They were also thrown in pits to fight, they eventually evolved into all around farm dogs. They were then brought into the house and became "nanny" dogs because of how gentle they are around children.
This story is based on a true event that happened in America and the dog is based on one of the male champion fighting dogs but has a different name and is a female.
