Love Behind Bars [Vauseman fanfic]

Part 1

The sun began to rise over the Mexican desert as we came within sight of the border crossing.

The RV my current partner (no, not relationship) was driving, came to a halt.

A man, old, stepped to the window as Dan rolled it down.

Before he did though, he gave me a 'it's going to be okay' look and squeezed my leg reassuringly.

"Mornin' ma'am... sir." He said in a Texan accent although he was on the Mexican border control.

He showed us a search warrent and entered the RV, and spent around 30 minutes searching.

I was sweating and shaking. My nerves were sky high.

"All clear."

I sighed, relief flew over my whole body.

We drove through the border and entered Mexico.

"AAARIBAA!" Dan screamed in joy.

"We did it Piper! We fuckin' did it!!!" He put his hand on my thigh and was dancing to a Mexican radio station.

He started to put a new sombrero on when it got stuck on his necklace covering his face.

"SHIT DAN THE ROAD"

We swerved and hit another car and the RV tumbled across the road and into the sand.

Darkness.
