As the unexpected revelation unfolded, the air was thick with tension and disbelief. "What?" Chanel asked, her voice tinged with shock, as she struggled to process the bombshell Brock had just dropped.
The man standing before her claimed to be her father - a father she never knew, a connection she had never even fathomed.
Brock's admission that he was the boyfriend of Chanel's mother, Claudia, before she mysteriously disappeared, sent a shockwave through the group.
"I'm your father. Claudia was my girlfriend before she ran away for no reason, well now I know why," Brock stated, his words hanging heavily in the air.
Chanel felt her heart racing as the gravity of this revelation sank in. Her mother had kept this a secret all these years - was Brock truly her father?
The uncertainty and disbelief were palpable, and Chanel couldn't help but wonder if a DNA test might provide the definitive answers she craved.
"Are you sure, you don't want to do a DNA test?" she asked, her voice laced with a mixture of hope and trepidation.
But Brock's resolute response - "No" - shut down that line of inquiry, as he abruptly turned and walked back into the bar, his friend Shane following closely behind him.
Nikki's exclamation, "Oh shit," captured the sheer magnitude of the moment, the weight of this unexpected family drama unfolding before their eyes.
Chanel and the others could only watch in stunned silence as Brock retreated, leaving them grappling with the implications.
"Did he just walk away from us?" Nikki asked, her voice tinged with disbelief, as she bent down to retrieve her bag from the ground.
Chanel let out a shaky breath, her eyes closing as she tried to compose herself, to find some semblance of calm amidst the swirling emotions.
Everyone around them stared, no doubt sensing the noticeable tension and the unfolding family drama.
Chanel's mother had always said she had a fiery temper and judging by Brock's brash behavior, it seemed she had inherited that trait from his side of the family.
"Don't do it," Nikki warned, sensing Chanel's rising anger and reaching out to restrain her.
But Chanel was having none of it, shrugging off Nikki's grip and letting out a primal scream as she pushed through the crowd and into the bar, determined to confront this newfound father.
Nikki quickly followed, unwilling to let Chanel face this alone.
Chanel navigated the dimly lit bar, her eyes fixated on the VIP section where Brock had retreated.
There he sat, surrounded by a gaggle of scantily clad women, smoking a cigarette and seemingly unfazed by the bombshell he had just dropped.
Chanel felt her blood boil as she approached, clenching her fists in a futile attempt to contain her rage. "Excuse me!" she barked out, but Brock simply ignored her, turning his attention to the blonde woman next to him.
"So you don't fucking hear me, asshole!" Chanel yelled, her voice cutting through the ambient noise of the bar.
Brock froze, the women around him looking up at Chanel with a mixture of shock and confusion. Slowly, Brock rose to his full height, the women tumbling off his lap as he stood, towering over Chanel.
She looked up at him, unflinching, and rolled her eyes. "Oh, so now you hear me," she said, her sarcasm dripping with disdain.
"What did you just call me?" Brock's voice was dark and shaky, a clear warning, but Chanel was undeterred.
