Wide eyes were glued on Matty and Drake. Everyone was speechless, some were fascinated, some were afraid. The silence was broke.

"What...the...fuck," Diana said slowly. Caine was more shocked then her.

Three bar my ass,he thought. Clearly, Matty had  power, and a lot of it. He looked around, the crowd was getting larger.

"What are you all standing around for, get to the lunch hall," he ordered. No one moved, this angered Caine. "Are you all deaf, move." Some people shifted slightly and a couple of people started to head to the lunch hall but most stood grounded almost hypnotised by the scene.

There was a loud hacking sound, it echoed through the hallway. Drake's grey eyes flickered open, he started to breathe heavily. Everyone stepped back, a few people walked away sensing that Drake being awake wasn't going to lead to anything good.

Drake stayed on the ground for a couple more seconds then heaved himself upwards. His head was spinning and there was a faint pain in his chest. His bones creaked and his vision was anything but clear. He staggered towards the crowd, thinking it was a wall he could lean against. Practically everyone ran to the lunch hall except Caine, Diana and Matty.

This is my chance, Matty thought. She noticed both Diana and Caine's attention seemed fixated on Drake. They were laughing at Drake, who was trying to find a wall he could lean against but failing. Slowly she started to walk away, attempting to blend in with the few kids that had left a little later than the rest of the crowd.

"And where do you think you're going?" Caine asked. His palm was in front of him as he pulled Matty away from the small crowd and flung her towards the wall. Drake who was leaning against that wall let out a weak laugh. Seeing Matty being hurt lightened his mood, but only slightly. He kicked her in the chest, narrowly missing her breast for good measure. Matty was silent. She couldn't let Drake see she was giving into the pain he had set upon her. She was practically screaming on the inside.

"Diana read her," Caine ordered. Diana listened, sensing Caine wasn't in the mood. Last time Caine was this angry, before he got his power, he had kicked Diana hard in the arm while wearing football boots (to all you americans, soccer) leaving her with a small gash. Diana slowly put Matty's hand into hers and concentrated. She looked at Matty, fear spreading through her face. Matty simply stared at her, knowing something was wrong.

"Well," Caine said irritably.

"She.... her power... it's stronger... she," Diana said quietly.

"How much stronger?" Caine asked, pure menace in his voice.

"Four bar," Diana spluttered out.

Silence.

Matty smiled to herself. Caine saw her as a threat, that was clear. She had taken down his most powerful henchmen after all. She needed a plan and more allies. Caine  or Drake were the best options. The problem was how would she side with people that already hated her.

Diana, she thought. It was better than nothing.

"Have none of you shitheads remembered the whole fucking school is in the lunch hall," Drake said out loud. His voice echoed through the hallways.
