part two, hope you enjoy

Caine stood still.

"Three bar," he repeated. Diana said nothing. She knew Caine was bothered by this. Caine was a power hungry, arrogant boy. He'd had been like that for as long as Diana had known him. The door burst open. The pair's heads turned towards the door. Drake entered the already cramped dorm.

"Great show Ladris," he said.

"Shut it Merwin,"she snapped. "We have more important things to think about," she took a deep breath and said slowly. "Matty is a three bar."

"And," Drake replyed. He was hiding his disappointment. Matty had the power, and Drake detested it.

"And," Caine shouted. "What do you mean and. You know what the power can do. If Matty figures out she has it, hell knows what could happen." The school bell rang.

"See you guys after class. I got the rest of the day off." Diana said smugly. Caine and Drake filed out her dorm and headed down the corridor to science.

"Aaah Mathilda, your awake," somewhere in the distance Matty could hear Mrs Jones' voice. She slowly sat up, straightening her back. Looking around the room slowly she saw a security guard in the corner of the room by the door. Matty rolled her eyes. Of course there was a security guard.

"Yep, awake," she said.

"Good," Mrs Jones said. "So, let's get down to business. Over the past year Mathilda your behaviour has not improved. You skip class, show poor behaviour towards your teachers and you are generally a pain to teach. I don't know if you remember Mathilda but when you joined this academy I told you about the strike system. Three strikes and you are in permanent isolation. Due to the recent event of you attacking Diana Ladris, you have earned yourself a third strike. It is to my disappointment and sadness Mathilda, that I have had no choice but to put you in permanent isolatio-"

The talking stopped. Matty looked around. Mrs Jones was... gone. She looked by the door, where the security guard had been. He was gone too.

Strange, Matty thought.

She stood up. Her legs were shaky but she could handle it, walking towards a mirror in Mrs Jones office she looked. Everything seemed normal, same dark brown hair, same almost black eyes and same tall, thin frame. Her skin had become paler while being at Coates. She used to have a slight tan. And yet, something was off. Her forehead seemed to have a faint, almost green glow.

"Drake, get up you idiot," Caine slapped Drake. He had been sleeping in class again. The teachers were scared of him so Drake could practically get away with murder in class.

"Okay, I'm up, what do you want," Drake said.

"Look around dumbass."

Drake looked, something was different. He blinked.

"What the, where is the teacher."

"Who cares," Caine said, he stood on his desk. "Listen up people, teachers gone so I'm in charge, ok." No one objected, they saw Drake by Caine's side. "Ok, here's the plan, gather every one you know and get them all down to the lunch hall. We got stuff to do. Anyone who doesn't turn up gets a one to one with Drake." That gave the small crowd of kids a reaction, all the kids seemed to shrink most likely in fear and the thought of being with Drake alone. Caine turned to Drake and ordered,"Drake get Matty from Mrs Jones office and I'll get Diana."

"Fine," Drake said. He walked, making every step slow and kicked a kid in the face on his way to the door. The kid cried as a large bump started to form on their head and bled. Drake laughed and opened the door. "You heard what Caine said, get up and get out." Instantly everyone in the room stood up and got out the room. The kid who Drake kicked left a trail of blood as they walked out. Drake and Caine walked out too, silent, each immersed in their own thoughts. Caine headed to Diana's dorm and Drake headed to Mrs Jones office.

Drake stopped over at his dorm. It was immaculate unlike Drake himself and full of items Coates kids weren't  meant to have like a collection of knives and a larger collection of guns hidden around the room.He opened his closet and lifted up a pile of shirts at the bottom of the closet, getting out a gun. Shoving it in his pocket he headed to Mrs Jones office.

As he arrived he saw Matty walking rather slowly out of the door, Drake crept behind her, he grabbed her by the arm. Matty quickly turned around and kicked Drake in the groin. Drake winced in pain and  let go of her arm, Matty started to run which in her case was a fast sort of hobble. Drake didn't take long to catch up. He tripped Matty over and pinned both her arms behind her back, Matty's chest was on the floor and Drake was crouching by her side making sure her arms were secure.

"Now Matty dear you must understand that you come with me unless you want to never walk again,"Drake growled in her ear. Matty shivered if one person freaked her out, it was Drake.

Suddenly, she started to shake uncontrollably. Cold vibrations were swarming through her body. Her head swarmed with mountains off heat. It was a painful sensation, Matty started to screech. Drake took cautious steps back, confused and yet fascinated about what was going on. Matty started to float in the air, her body rotated towards Drake. Drake tried to look away but couldn't, his eyes were glued to Matty's forehead which was glowing a piercing green, like a moth would be to a bulb. Her arms shot out, straight like planks. Electrical pulses rushed through her hand.

Lightning, Matty thought.

Drake's eyes widened. The lightning glowed the same green as Matty's forehead. It hit Drake in the chest. It all stopped. Matty landed back on the floor. By her feet was the unconscious but alive body of Drake.

A small crowd surrounded the scene. Diana and Caine were part of that crowd.
