You killed him….. I hope you die…you are a heartless bitch….i hate you….you’re a worthless piece of shit. I never want to see you- Each word sent me father into a black hole. The words should mean nothing to me, but they cut deeply. This dream, or reality, or whatever the hell I am in, was weird each name literally cut me, crimson red liquid spilled through the tunnel. And right before the final word was said, the word that would have killed me, I woke up in a panic.
“Bad dream?” Hunter was sitting at the edge of the bed looking at me.
“What! Why are you here.” My voice was panicky; my heart was racing faster than ever.
“ ‘cause I heard you talking in your sleep so I came to check up on you, and you looked so peaceful, well until you started tossing and turning.”
“Yea, but I’m fine. Thank you.”
“Kailee, your sweating…you sure your fine.” The voice was not like anything else. His voice was more soothing, more recognizable. It was a voice that, if I could, I would fall asleep to, because it brought comfort. When I looked at the doorway I saw him. His eyes glistened in the moonlight. His hair was as blonde as I left it a couple days ago.
“Eek! Shane!” I jumped out of bed and jumped on him knocking him down onto the ground, as we laughed.
“I thought maybe you would like to see him.” Hunter mentioned as he stepped over us and headed down the hall.
“Hunter wait!” I shouted. He stopped and looked back. I jumped off of Shane and gave him a hug. As I hugged I whispered thank you.
“Anytime. Now if you are going to live here for a next couple days I am expecting you to behave.” He said jokingly.
I wished him a goodnight and pulled Shane onto my bed. “Hey.”
“Hi.” I could tell he was upset with me, but who would blame him, I’ve been keeping secrets from him.
“Look Shane, I’m sorry-”
“Cut the crap, I don’t wanna hear about it.”
“What do you want then? I know you’re pissed. You probably hate me after these past couple days.”
“If I was pissed, do you think I would have come here at 12:30 am while it’s snowing and raining?”
“How did you even know I was here?”
“Obviously not from you. Hunter called me from your phone, freaking out about you talking in your dream. Apparently you killed someone, and some other random crap that means nothing. So I rushed over here.”
I didn’t even know what to say. I could have kissed him right then and there, but it wasn’t the perfect time, Shane didn’t like me like that. I know for a fact, especially after last time.
“Thank You.”
“Can you please explain to me what has happened since Thursday, when you freaked out he was going to kill you.”
“Yea, but can I turn on the light first.” That was exactly what I did, I turned on the light and he gasped at all the bruises on my body and the scar. He probably has never seen me in such worse conditions than this. It was a new step in our relationship.
