The days last long, cold in the winters of Seoul, Korea. Laughs echo through the streets on each side of me,
"You're such an idiot." Kyu my older brother says to my other older brother, Hyun.
"Take a look in the mirror thinking that you could kiss the cutest girl in school." He replies smirking, my focus on the ground feeling eyes watching me.
"Kai? You ok?" Hyun asks for I look to him,
"Sorry mind is just talking and still trying to deal with the fact of us moving here to the creepy side of the city." I say with a shudder, for Kyu hugs me in a tight brace keeping me warm.
"I know how you feel, it's hard on us, mom and Daeshim. But don't worry as long as we are here with each other, nothing can go wrong." He says while Hyun hugs me too smiling with a nod.
It's been almost a full week for we had to say goodbye to our old life and hello to our new one. In Seoul, living in the poor part of the city for my mother and oldest brother, Daeshim having to work to keep Hyun, Kyu and I alive and healthy while we go to High school.
The two go back to talking while my eyes land on a man looking to be in his early twenties with a dark blonde undercut getting out of his car,
"Check that guy out... he looks a little strange." Hyun says about the man, and for knowing of how social Kyu is:
"Hi!" Kyu shouts with a bright smile walking over to the guy while he waves, Hyun grabs my hand walking after him.
"Hi, you guys just moved here, is that right?" The guy questions for seeing that he has dark circles under his eyes.
"Mmhmm, I'm Kyu and this is my older brother Hyun and little sister, Kai." He introduces us to him, Hyun nods while I warmly smile to him.
"Nice names. Oh! Stupid me, I haven't told you my name yet." He says with a laugh,
"I'm, Oh Sangwoo." He says for I notice him glancing at me a couple of times.
"It's very nice to meet you, but we have to get going. Our mom is waiting for us." Hyun says for Sangwoo nods.
"Well, I want to be the first to welcome you all to Seoul." He replies for we smile,
"Thankyou, see you around." We say walking off for feeling his eyes watching my every move.
(Sangwoo's P.O.V)
'That girl has a cute and delicate body, just thinking of hearing her young voice screaming in horror of my tourturements. I'm already excited about it.' My mind says for a smirk creeps on my lips watching her walk away,
"Yoonbum will like it that he has a new friend." I say with hands in pants pocket walking back into my house,
"Tomorrow will be the day that she'll be mine."
(Kai's P.O.V)
"That Sangwoo guy is pretty different, huh?" I ask walking into the house, hearing the door close behind us.
"Just some ordinary guy." Hyun replies,
"He seems like a cool dude, one that probably gets the ladies attention a lot. But why are you asking about him, hmm you like him? " Kyu says moving his hand through his hair, for my eyes widen.
"No, he's a complete stranger! Why are you always thinking that I like a guy for when I simply ask about them, and besides he gave off an eerie feeling anyways!" I say getting up in his face for he laughs,
"You're such a horrible liar." He replies moving into the kitchen for I turn angry but feel a pat on my back,
"Ignore him, he's stupid and doesn't know what he's talking about." Hyun states ruffling my hair and walking to his room.
I then enter into our small kitchen to see Kyu sitting at the table eating away while mom turns to me smiling brightly,
"How was school?" She asks for I shrug opening a can of soda.
"Same as usual, boys eyeing me strangely, girls giggling behind my back because of how thin I am." I say with a stressed sigh,
"Don't be ashamed of being thin, for I bet those girls are jealous of you." Daeshim says entering in taking his gun holster off setting it on the counter, for he's a detective at the nearest police station.
"Yeah, be happy that you're not fat." Kyu says for I growl at him,
"You're not helping." I reply for mom slaps Kyu's arm.
"Look don't listen to, Lance but be proud for who you are. Don't worry things will get better." Levi says with a calming smile for I nod,
"Yeah, I guess you're right." I reply while mom and Hyun sitting plates down on the table.
The night passed on for the house filled with laughs and happy memories with my loved ones but not knowing that a couple streets down is one with a sinister smile preparing for his plan that can break a person to pieces.
~Time Skip~
The next day
"Do you see that girl over there?"
"She shouldn't even be allowed to wear the school outfit." Girls snicker behind my back for the only way to not crack is to simply ignore them.
For my wish is them leaving me alone in peace but it only gets worse for a gang of braty girls follow me home,
"Hey! Hold on!" One calls out for I look to see her run up, she has long black hair with a evil smirk.
"You're new right, what's your name?" She asks while I stay quiet,
"Didn't you hear me, skin in bones?!" She exclaims pulling me to stop while the rest of the girls surround me.
"I'm Kai, please don't call me that." I reply with a soft voice, but irritated that my brothers had to stay back at the school to do sports.
The girls laugh,
"Ha! You're so funny that you'd think we would listen to you." She says,
"Why are you skinny anyways? Gotten beaten and abused since a little kid? I bet that your family hate your guts for how ugly you look!" She says for water swells in my eyes having flashbacks of the deadly beatings by my father,
"Awe! Look at that, she's crying. Heh! She's going to be crying a lot more after we beat the shit out of her!" They say for I grit my teeth.
One steps close to me for I instantly punch her in the face making her collapse to the ground, time to run. Running fast as I can with a heavy pack over my shoulder but then tripping to the ground for one stands over me, holding a rock in her hand.
"Let's teach her a lesson for messing with one of us." She snickers evilly.
"Excuse me, is there a problem here?" Hearing a deep voice ask making me look up to see Sangwoo,
"No, nothing at all." The leader of the gang replies for he nods with crossed arms.
"Good. Then I insist you girls get the hell out of here before something you'll regret will happen!" He threatens pulling me up for she scuffs walking away with fear in the eyes of the others, making me sigh in relief.
"Thankyou." I say wiping my skirt and shirt off for he smiles,
"You're welcome but may I help with your injury?" He asks for I see blood on my knee.
"I'm fine, I can treat it back at home." I reply with gritting my teeth a little bit,
"No really, I don't mind." He says for I just nod as he picks me up in bridal style along with my pack heading into his house.
Looking around the kitchen for it's so clean on the inside compared to how creepy it looks on the outside,
"You have a very nice house." I compliment for he smiles covering up the wound with ointment and a bandage,
"Thankyou, if you want I can show you around the house." He suggests for I glance up at the clock.
"Sure." I reply for his eyes light up, 'he's really nice, for saving me from the girls and wrapping up my injury. I regret of thinking that he was giving off an eerie feeling.'
"How old are you, Kai?" He asks walking by my side letting me lean a little against him to walk better,
"18, you?"
"I'm 21." He replies. For then showing off his bedroom, but opening his closet showing a small trap door on the floor.
Opening it he steps aside,
"Ladies first." He says politely for I walk down.
"Weird that you have a basement entrance in your room." I say looking around while he stands on the last step,
"Mmhmm, it came with the house. The best thing when I was growing up was playing in the basement." He says for his voice echoes throughout the room, while a bad smell hits my nose not knowing of why but not wanting to find out either.
"I should get going my family will be expecting me home soon." I say for he nods helping me back up the stairs, 'Why has he become so quiet? And what's with the smile?' My mind asks for the smile sends shivers down my spine.
"You know..." He speaks while standing in the front yard before the gate,
"You don't have to go, there's always room in the house for one more person." He suggests with a smirk for I back up slowly while he keeps stepping closer,
"Wouldn't that be nice? Just us~." For I try unlocking the gate but feel him slam my head into the ground, knocking the air out of me.
Picking me up I regain my strength pushing away from him,
"Let go of me!!" I shout.
"Don't be like that. Come on, let's go back into our home." He replies with a chuckle walking back in, but I slam the back of my head into his face dropping me to the ground.
"Why you little bitch!" He shouts grabbing a brick hitting it against my head knocking me out.
