"suka, blyad!" yelled Alex from across the room, his voice echoed throughout the chamber. Rose collected her consciousness and started to see the room again, she knew that whenever Alex swore in Russian he was at his wit's end.

"Alex," said Rose, "w-whats going on", the oil loss was making her lightheaded.

"I haven't a goddamn clue" replied Alex, "what the hell do these people want from our boss"

"I-I don't know," said Rose

With a thundering crackle, the speakers on the wall jumped to life

"SO IS THIS WHAT YOU WANT?" said a booming voice, "AN EXPLANATION?"

"Who the hell are you?!" yelled Alex

"My name is Dr. Ignis," said the voice "welcome to my paradise!"

"w-what do you want with us" stuttered rose, half-dead

"I didn't want anything from the likes of you," said Dr. Ignis, "but now I need some information"

"why would we ever give anything," said Alex, "clearly you don't consider us allies"

"well here's the thing," Dr. Ignis said softly into the microphone, "If you want to keep your precious little life then it might be in your best interest to listen to my reasoning."

Dr. Ignis began his tale. He told the story of a scientist from another world who traded his useless organic body for one he made from metal. With his power, he was able to sculpt life from metal and blood, gears and flesh. His creations were half organic and half machine, one part darkness and the other part light. As time went on the scientist's creations began to evolve and become more machine than creature, and as it's features changed it's mind grew. Soon the artificial life became sentient and built the world that they stood on, life that was pure machine made from perfect metal and glory. Dr. Ignis explained that they were that life, and that they needed to keep themselves pure.

"you see," said Dr. Ignis, "I run an... association that is completely set on keeping us as pure as possible."

Dr. Ignis took a breath, "Even though we are mostly machine, there is still one piece of organic life left in us. It is the part that gives us things like emotion and pain. If we want to stay pure, we need to rid ourselves of this piece."

"you're so full of shit!" said Rose who had recovered slightly

"I hope that I don't need to put another bullet in your chest," said Dr. Ignis

Rose raised her middle finger to the camera mounted on the ceiling

"your boss... knows too much," said Dr. Ignis quietly, "he killed a member of our organization and discovered something that isn't, well, widely accepted."

"and what might that be?!" yelled Rose, "Dr. Scum!"

"sacrifices must be made for a better future" replied Dr. Ignis, "we needed to study a real specimen and he volunteered his daughter for a good cause."

Rose and Alex just stared at the camera in disgust.

"so he sent his own daughter to die?" said Rose

"well that's kind of an oversimplification" replied Dr. Ignis

"you extremists can go to hell," said Alex

"I'm afraid both of your priorities are a little bit skewed," said Dr. Ignis, "I don't want to have to ask this twice: Where is Delirium Iron-Head?"
