Harry's POV
"Alright, I think it's sorted then." I said firmly as I looked around at everyone. "Let's just get this shit done."
"Easy peasy." Brian said as he clapped me on the back and we all made our way back to the vans.
We'd spent the last 20 minutes working out our plan of attack on Skinner, going over our back up plans in case something went wrong and making sure we were all on the same page. For the most part it would be a simple grab, just pull up and take him while he met with his runners down at the docks.
Mitt and Deaks had already talked to some of the runners and made them aware of what would be happening, so we knew none of them would try to jump in and help him out. Skinner was putting their lives in danger by raising the prices of what they were selling on Stanks, so I don't think any of them would be that sad to see him go. It was common knowledge to everyone on the streets that Stanks was the last person you fucked with.
I held Hannah's hand as we made our way back to the van, Louis and Brian trailing behind us as Zayn, Niall, Mitt and Deaks headed to the other van they had set up to be able to run surveillance. I could tell that she was nervous, doing her best to not show it, but I also knew I needed to make it clear that she needed to stay with Louis and not do anything stupid.
"Everything is gonna be fine, babe. I need you to stay in the car with Louis. Promise me." I said as I turned and looked at her.
"I promise." She nodded, knowing we'd had this conversation ten times already. "I will not leave the van."
"No matter what happens." I reconfirmed.
She paused for a minute, taking a deep breath and closing her eyes, before she released it and looked back up at me.
"No matter what happens."
I leaned in and kissed her forehead before I opened the door of the van and helped her into the passenger seat. Brian and I then climbed in the back, both of us pulling our hoods up as we tried to mentally prepare to get the job done.
Louis pulled out of the place we'd decided to meet on the other end of the dock and began to drive toward Skinner's meeting place. Niall and Zayn would be parked one block away watching on the surveillance system they'd already set up earlier that day once we confirmed the location, and they'd be there to tell us if they saw any problems arising.
"Alright, you guys hear us okay?" Zayn asked through our earpieces and Brian and I looked at each other.
"I'm good." I responded.
"All clear, bro." Brian confirmed.
Hannah looked back at me from the front seat, doing her best to shoot me a smile, and I just winked at her before I closed my eyes and did my best to focus. I didn't like the idea of having her there, obviously, knowing that if something went wrong I'd be worried about her the whole time, but I knew there was no way she'd let me go without her and to be fair I had promised her I would stop trying to push her out of everything. That still didn't mean I liked it, though.
Niall and Zayn let us know when they were in position, telling us Skinner hadn't arrived yet but there were some runners waiting already. Louis pulled up to our designated position and parked, turning off the engine for now until we got the okay to head in.
I glanced at the clock, noting it was 8:50, and figured Skinner would be showing up any minute. I was still having a hard time believing it was him after all this time, such a contrast to the scrawny kid I used to know. He'd been under me for most of my time in the organization, but I guess that was just a testament to how much had changed over the past few years.
