You leaned against the wall in the corner of the lunchroom you usually sat in, anger smoldering in your stomach. Well, to say you were mad was overstating it. You were.... irritated, was a better word. Not five seconds passed after you leaned into the corner did you see Ivy walk into the cafeteria. Looking around, her eyes soon landed on your own e/c pools. Ivy then started to make her way over to you. When she reached you, she sat down by you, pulling out a lunchbox.

"Look, Y/n. It's hard to explain, bu-"

"There's nothing to explain Ivy. Rome wasn't built in a day, and you won't change in a day, I get it." You interrupted, waving your hand. Ivy sighed.

"Y/n, that's not it." She responded, taking some food out of her lunchbox.

"What is it then?" You asked. Ivy paused.

"You know Garroth Ro'meave?" You nodded. Ivy facepalmed.

"Well, I really like him, and want to date him, but that pota-" You got a plastic spoon out of your pocket and threw it, hitting her head. She looked up, shocked.

"What the- where did you get a spoon from?" You pointed over to the cafeteria ladies and their cash registers. By them was a cart with cups of plastic ware in them. Ivy looked back at you, bewildered.

"So, why did you throw one at me?"

"Cause you need to watch it." You snapped.

"And why is that?" You sighed.

"In many cases, you remind me of people who should never have anyone remind me of them." You rolled your hand in a 'get it?' gesture. A look of realization flickered on her face.

"Oh. Sorry." You said nothing. Taking the hint, Ivy continued.

"So... I like Garroth, and want to go out with him, but APHMAU is always getting with him, trying to sway him." Ivy said, a look of anger coming up on her face.

"So.... yandere much?" You spoke, pulling another spoon out of your pocket.

"What?" Ivy looked confused. You sighed.

"You love someone so much you'd do anything to have them?" Ivy nodded.

"Yeah, But That Short little-" Bonk.

"Sorry. Aphmau keeps getting in the way." Ivy said, rubbing her head. You nodded and stayed where you were.

"Ivy?" You asked. She looked at you.

"What?" You sighed.

"I know who you are, and what you try to be, but promise me you'll try to change." You asked. Ivy froze in place, a sandwich right about to enter her mouth. She slowly back away from it, as if it were a spider.

"I.... Uh..... if I do, people won't just trust me!" She retorted. You took a deep breath.

"You realize nobody trusts you?" You asked. Ivy looked shocked.

"What?"

"It's true. People help you out of fear." Ivy looked ashamed.

"And I have to change myself how?"

"Stop bullying, be a better person in general, and probably apologize to people." Ivy looked shocked at first, but the look faded away.

"Fine. I'll do it." You nodded and turned to look at the other people in lunch. All of them with friends. All of them with happy families. All of them with-

"But who should I apologize to first?" Ivy asked, interrupting your thoughts.

"Hmm... probably Aphmau, as she seems to be your prime target." Ivy looked pained.

"Of course I have to apologize to her first." She leaned on the table, facing the wall.

"Yup. Probably best you do it after school." You said. Ivy nodded in agreement and finally took a bite from her food. Swallowing it, you looked at you and offered you half of her sandwich.

"Take it." Ivy almost forced the sandwich into your mouth. You grabbed it and took a bite. Chewing, your face reflexively relaxed.

"What's in this?" You asked Ivy after you swallowed.

"Peanut butter and apricot preserves." Ivy responded, taking another bite from her half.

"Well, this is really good!" You said before taking another bite.

"Yup. Helps me take my mind away when things are rough." Ivy responded, not finished with her sandwich and taking out some other food items.

"Glad you enjoyed it. If you want anything else, let me know and I'll share." Ivy said as she took a number of fruits and other lunch items out of her bag. From it, you got the occasional pineapple or strawberry, but that was about it.

Hours had passed and you were at the front door of your home. As you reached for the doorknob, you paused. You were going to be in serious trouble for coming back late, and leaving early. You sighed and opened the door. Best to get it over with.

"Well, look who showed up!" Your father yelled across the room, holding his belt. Your Mother walked into the room next.

"Well, What are you waiting for?" She asked. Your Father extended his finger before curling it towards him in an obvious 'come here' gesture. You slowly inched forwards, getting closer and closer. He squinted. You scooted closer. As you got closer, he lunged foreword and grabbed you by the neck. Before you could react, he turned over and started whipping you with the buckle over and over. From your back, to your rear, to your legs, even a brief whip on the neck, where the bruise from yesterday was still prominent. You had to bite your tongue until you tasted blood to keep from screaming.

"Why were you late!?" Your father screamed while whipping you.

"I was- I was working a project for sch-ool!" You managed to get out between whips.

"And we set a specific time for you to come back! Why did you leave early!?" You couldn't take much more. Before you had the chance to respond, the whipping stopped. You sighed, until you felt a stinging pain on your hands. Biting your lip, you looked to see your mother whipping your hands with a riding crop.

"Will it happen again!?" She snarled.

"No! It won't!" Your mother hit your hand one more time before stopping.

"Now, Get out of my sight. Go work on your 'project." You attempted to stand, barely making it, and limped to the front door. You panted as you limped towards Ivy's house, struggling to stand.
