Chapter 9

Peeta's POV

Yes! katniss and I are engaged!!! neither of us can wait till the day.

We've had sex so many times that I'm surprised katniss isn't pregnant. I'm glad she isn't though because I love her too much to put her through that kind of pain.

"Hey babe" I say as katniss runs at me, her hair flying out behind her. I love her so much I can't explain it.

we meet in a kiss and I can't help but moan. her lips taste so amazing! She pulls away before my hand reaches her breast under her top.

"We can't" she murmurs.

"Katniss what's wrong? you usually can't wait for that."

"Peeta..." she says looking down.

i cup her chin in my hand and bring it up to face me. there are tears in her eyes.

"What's wrong?" I ask.

"I'm pregnant Peeta!" she cries.

I wrap my arms around her and do my best to try and comfort her.

"Shhh. Katniss. shhh." I whisper into her hair.

"P...pe...peeta. what am I going to do?" she whispers back.

"Katniss, why didn't you say we? we do everything together, and we're going to get through this together." I reply.

"No! You can't help me with this!!!" she yells.

I step away, completely shocked.

"Peeta, it isn't your baby! it's gales! I had sex with him!"she yells at me. " I love him more than you!"

And with that she takes off running.

My life is over! I'll never be whole again. I now see in black and white. I slowly start the long walk home.
