this is my first story on wattpad! so sorry if its bad. anyway, this story is about all the hunger games characters in present day high school.

katniss and her boyfriend gale are happy with their life until katniss

ends up kissing the new baker boy peeta mellark. what will happen when gale finds out? will katniss discover her feeling for peeta before its too late? you have to read it to find out what happens!!! xxx p.s. the whole book is in katniss's p.o.v.

chapter 1

the party

(Flashback)

I stumbled down the empty hallway not sure where everyone had gone.

"Gale!" I screamed down the silent school hall. "Gale? where are you? Is this a joke?"

I repeated these words for what seemed like forever. Just as I turned the corner, entering the library, I heard a scream!

"Prim?" I half whispered, half called down the stacks of books.

I rounded the corners created by the never ending bookshelves. As I turned yet another corner and there in front of me lay...

(Flashback ends)

I must have been screaming my damn dead off because Gale was shaking me out of my flashback. Often he won't notice because I'd be silent screaming. but I was glad that he had noticed this time because that flashback always seemed to penetrate my mind ever since Prim, my innocent younger sister, was murdered!

"Shh! it's ok Catnip! your safe here." Gale whispered in my ear as I grasped his camo shirt with my hands and cried into his shoulder.

"Shh! it's ok!" He pushed me away from him holding my shoulders so that I was looking at his face. "do you want to tell me about it?"

I shook my head violently! Gale seemed to get it. I love him for caring about me so much.

"I love you too Catnip!" he pulled me out of my thoughts.

"What?! did I say that out loud?" I questioned him, confused like hell!

"Yep!" he said popping the p. "hey let's go meet the others. oh and I forgot to give this to you!" he exclaims handing me a golden locket.

"Oh my god Gale! thank you so much. it's beautiful!" I gasped as I stared at the picture inside. it was a picture of us on the beach in district 4.

"That's ok! Now, are we going to meet the others or not?" I laughed for no particular reason as he stared at me like I was crazy. I just grinned!

Gale and I walked to Finnick's house holding hands the whole way there. we got a few aww's on the way there, but luckily Gale shielded me somehow with his arm so not as many people would see me!

Chapter 2

The new boy

When we finally got to finn's place it had started to rain! Thankfully both Gale and I had jackets so we weren't too wet. We raced inside the house just as the other "victors" as we were known as were sitting down for a game of truth or dare.

"Hey guys. it's brainless and her boyfriend!" Johanna informed everyone.

"Shut up Jo! and for your info my Catnip is not Brainless!" Gale growled at Jo!

"Gale." I whispered to him warningly. I gave him a passionate kiss on the lips.

"Gale stop getting cosy with Kitty Kat and get your lazy ass over here!" Finn shrieked at us.
