There we all were. Josie,Max,Hudson and I. Staring at the old forbidden hungry forest. We all decided to have a walk after school. Obviously I begged the hell out of them to just do so.
"I still don't get why this place is forbidden though..it looks sh*tty" Max says and the rest of us shrug.
"Yeah..it does look horrific" I comment and I tilt my head. In fact we all tilt our heads. That's what I love about the 4 of us. We all usually do the same actions but without realising it...and we were all the same age except they were a few months older than me. I kinda noticed Hudson looking scared but who knows for what reason.
"You know what..I'm planning to go inside the forest this Saturday and all of you will be here" I say and give them a huge smile "How about that"
"It is a good idea but hmm...ITS FORBIDDEN AND I DONT THINK WE WILL BE ALLOWED TO GO IN THERE!!" Josie points out and gives me a Duuh Face.
I roll my eyes "Aah well miss smarty pants...I was referring to sneak in" I say and face the guys "what do you think"
"I'm in" Hud shoots his hand up and grins.
"Yep..we're all coming but I'm coming to your house first to eat lunch" Max says.
"Don't you have your own house to eat lunch" Josie chuckles.
"I can't live one more Saturday with eating raw leaves" he shakes his head and looks at me with desperate eyes.
"Leaves..is that what you eat??" For an answer he widens his eyes.
"Hey you kids!!!" We hear a shout from the left side of us and I turn to see a fat short woman with flaming red hair wearing a uniform with a security stick on her hand. As she comes closer I notice red lipstick on her lips and she's chewing bubble gum.
She stops and points her security bat at us "what do you think you're doing!!" She says while chewing bubble gum.
"Looking at you" Hudson simply replies with a relaxed tone.
"I meant what are you doing standing here looking at this forest" She says with irritation in her voice.
"Uum..just..checking the place out" I trembly say.
"Can't you read that this says forbidden forest you nitwits!!" She points the big plastered sign on the tree.
"We know its forbidden.. We didn't go inside it..we're still here on the same pavement you're standing on...doesn't say Forbidden looking at the forest does it...so shooo along...you've done your job" Hud rolls his eyes and gestures for the woman to move.
"Listen here kid..I can make sure your life turns horrible" The woman threatens and turns to us "leave or I will be a living nightmare for all of you."
"You already are" I hear Matt mutter and we start to head down the blocks.
"She's sweet isn't she" Hud randomly says and laughs. As we go along...I turn to look at the forest and spot a light coming from it...what could it be...The light starts to move and while Josie and Matt are ahead of us...I pull Hud with me and run in the forest.
Tree branches hitting past me while I chase the light.
"Slow down" Hudson says behind me and he stops to catch his breath "why are we here" he says breathing heavily.
"I saw a thing...bright...I'm trying to catch up to it but you're slowing me down " I say .
"Did you take a whole bottle of Vodka this morning..coz I think it messed you up." He stands up and leans on a tree.
